This traditional and cozy Faroese house, originally constructed in 1896, has, even though it's totally renovated, stayed faithful to the original design. The house features a traditional turf roof and the body of the house still features the same wood/oak which was placed in 1896, giving the house a real warmth. The view is extraordinary, featuring Nólsoy and the harbor of Tórshavn. The renovations of the house give it a modern touch without taking away from the original design.
I am married to Mikkjal and we have been married for over 20 years. :D We have three wonderful boys, whom we spend a lot of time with. Family is very important to us. We like doing things together, go hiking, do sports, play games, watch a good movie, eat good food etc. I work as a school teacher. I teach children aged 9 - 13. I like teaching and also helping children in their struggles in life. I work a lot with anti-bullying. My husband is a football coach in the best league in the Faroes. We will be happy to answer your questions and assist with whatever you need.
The city of Tórshavn is seen as one of the most attractive European capitals. It features beautiful landscapes, a rich culture and charming harbours. The city, even though it's modern, still features many of the aspects which it did a few hundred years ago, this is a very special thing in today's modern world. The house is located right by the city center, which makes it within short walking distance of various popular locations. It's a five minute walk from the house to Vágsbotn, which is the beautiful harbor, featuring many lovely resturants and cafes. A 3 minute walk will bring you to Tórshavns beach, Sandagerð, which is a popular location for the people of Tórshavn. The city features free public transportation in the form of city busses, which will make it very easy to get around. There is a small minimarket right across the road.
