A privately owned apartment situated within the grounds of the Provence Country Club Golf Course, west of Saumane de Vaucluse, just a few kilometers from Isle Sur la Sorgue. It has an open plan living area, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of which is en-suite; it comfortably sleeps 6. The apartment is set in well maintained, landscaped gardens overlooking a golf course and the Alpilles mountains. It is shaded from the hot midsummer sun by mature, scented umbrella pine and cedar. You would be hard pressed to find a more relaxing place to enjoy a glass or two of the local Rosé. The open plan living space opens onto a sun terrace equipped with a table that seats 6.
Within the country club grounds you will find a superb 18 hole golf course, an infiniti swimming pool, tennis courts and a gymnasium. There is also a great bar and restaurant overlooking the golf course, it is generally open all day, 7 days a week. The food is excellent. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is known for its antiques stores and weekend markets, waterwheels on the Sorgue river and the Collégiale Notre Dame des Anges, a baroque church with superb frescoes. Fontaine-de-Vaucluse ("spring of Vaucluse") is an easy 45 minute walk along the carpentras canal. Built around the Fontaine de Vaucluse, a spring in a valley at the foot of the Vaucluse Mountains, between Saumane and Lagnes. Gordes is a beautiful hilltop village on the western edge of the Luberon national park. Just around the corner you will find the most famous lavender fields in Provence, at the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque. The Riviera; less than an hour by car (or train) to Marseille and its Vieux-Port (Old Port), surrounded by great restaurants, here you will find fishermongers selling their catching along the boat lined quay, as fresh as you will get.
