We are Maarten and Patricia. Bon vivants who intensely enjoy the little things in life and who live with a positive mindset. We love hospitality, food & wine pairing, cooking with fresh ingredients and we love to meet new people. In the Summer of 2017 we decided to make our dream a reality. To change our life and to start the search for our dream home to welcome guests and to turn our hobby into our profession. We are looking forward to share this beautiful place with you. Au Soleil du Bonheur will be a place where you will find the professionality of a little and charming hotel and also the personal attention and hospitality of a cozy B&B. In all seasons it is a unique location for adults looking for an active or sportive holiday combined with tranquillity, comfort and relaxation in an authentic Provencal ambiance. A place for the active guest who loves the overwhelming nature and who also wants to enjoy the layback lifestyle of the Provence. We are happy to welcome you into our home, and to make you ‘feel at home, far from home!'

In the middle of the Provence, just 12 km from the foot of Mont Ventoux, you’ll find the impressive limestone cliffs ‘Dentelles de Montmirail’. In the middle of its amazing valley with its hilly landscape and AOC vineyards, our charming B&B is situated on the edge of the picturesque village Lafare. Au Soleil du Bonheur, where breakfast is a sacred start of your day. In the evening you will be able to enjoy a homemade dinner together with your hosts and the other guests. The garden and terraces of both the main house and the guest rooms are all south facing, allowing us to enjoy the sun all day long. This B&B has 5 lovely guest rooms on the ground floor. All rooms have their private bathroom, entry and terrace with panoramic view on the garden, the vineyard and the impressive limestone cliffs. Its Provencal garden has a cozy pool (6 m x 2.75/3.25 m), where you can cool off on a hot day. There will be a sports room in the main house. The main house is where we live. On the ground floor are the shared living room, the dining room and the professional kitchen. On summer days we eat outside on the terrace as often as possible.
