We purchased our chalet in 2006, as an old barn. It took us 10 years to renovate it. It was our family home for over 10 years. the 80m lounge diner is perfect for a couple of families or group of friends. The bedrooms can be configured to suit your groups. The chalet is not in a ski resort , however it is perfectly placed to take the free navette up to Sainte foy Station or you can drive to Villaroger les arcs in 10 mins , Bourg Saint Maurice funival in 15 minutes, La Rosiere. Italy in 20 minutes. Val d'Isere and Tignes in 20 minutes. In the summer all resorts have an activity programme, and the chalet is in the centre of the vanoise National park so you can do many walks from the chalet directly , and even go over to Italy for a spot of lunch. We have set up our 'Tarentaise Properties'website to offer more information and direct links to services and activities in the area. All of our properties have the beds made on arrival, include towels, bathmats , cleaning products , toilet paper , wifi ( and firewood if applicable as standard ) Baby equipment is also available free of charge. All properties are very well equipped with pierrade, raclette and fondue machines. There is a gated garden for safe kids play and a Bbq Terrace area in the summer. Please don't book our properties to have a party . We get on well with all our neighbours and hate to disturb them.
Tamsin and Hamish are a UK couple that met Val d'Isere and have lived in the alps for over 25 years. Hamish is a property developer and Ski instructor and Tamsin runs the property management business Tarentaise Properties. We have 4 ski crazy kids. Chalet Marron is situated in a small hamlet in between the station and village of Sainte Foy Tarentaise. It is just off the main road to Val d'Isere and Tignes. You cannot hear the main road just the river below. Sainte Foy ski resort via free navette is 5mins away Villaroger Les Arcs ( free parking next to lift ) 10 mins Les Arcs Funival 15 mins La Rosiere/ Italie la Thuile 20 mins Tignes La Brevieres 15 mins Tignes Val Claret 20 mins Val d'Isere 15 mins All resorts have summer activities from late June to end of August . Lifts are open for downhill biking Situated in the heart of the vanoise National Park in summer for walking and cycling . Open air swimming pool in Bourg Saint Maurice . High ropes White water rafting Tignes summer activities on the lake Mt blanc ski way ( via La Rosiere Col du Petit saint Bernard ) ...only June - October See our Tarentaise Properties site to get the links to all the tourist offices and current activities.
