Lovely location close to town centre with view of the Chareau and near a sandy beach on the river. The owner was very helpful and kind. She told us about a music festival happening the night we arrived and took me to her garage to get a new tyre to replace the one that blew on the motorway!!

The location is perfect. The Loire is 50m from the front door, there's a nice restaurant, Le Salamander, across the road and the town centre is just across the bridge. Roselyne is the most wonderful host, nothing is too much trouble. There was wine in the fridge and croissants etc awaiting our arrival. Just one thing perhaps, she has a lovely little cat who will approach you....in case you're not cat people. We are, and had no problem. The double ded is a pull down sofa, which was fine by us. And a single bed.

Some places are memorable due to their location, others due to their convenience. L'Amboiselyne combines both: a little appartment, with all fascilities a little family as ours could wish for, (and very convenient parking place just outside the door) in the beautiful Ile d'Or, in walking distance from the castle and city center of Amboise, with a Pizzeria opposite to it and fantastic quiteness at night despite its proximity to a main road. However, what we will mostly remember Amboiselyne for is its host, Mrs Roselyn. This was French hospitality at its finest. When we left, I felt the sweet feeling like if I had been hosted by a dear aunt of mine. Sincere thanks to you; we hope to see you again :-)
