Recently renovated, spacious holiday home with garden. Previously, the local Post Office was located in the building. The house is in the center of the village of Saulgond. Located in a very open, rural area. The house has a spacious kitchen and a spacious living room with television. Three large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry room. Accommodates 9 adults, possibly 10 ( 10th bed is simple 180 cm by 70 cm folding bed, but with good mattress ) . As an extra: baby bed and high baby chair available. In the garden there is garden furniture, a barbecue and in the high season a round plunge pool of about 3.5 m diameter and 70 cm high.
There are many options such as walking routes, fishing, canoeing / kayaking, cycling, swimming pools outside and inside. Saulgond is at the center of connecting roads between a number of cities where restaurants, local shops etc. are located. Some cities such as Saint-Junien and Confolens are at 12 km from the house. All facilities can be found there, such as large supermarkets, restaurants, bars and cafés. Larger cities around are Limoges (42 km), Angouleme (65 km, known for its many murals and cartoonists) and Poitiers (85 km, known from the Futuroscope). At 20 km: Oradour sur Glane: A village that was enclosed and destroyed by the first regiment 'Der Führer' of the 2. SS-Panzer-Division Das Reich on 10 June 1944. At the entrance of the village a museum was established in 1999, the Center de la Memoire. It is an underground museum. Whoever passes the entrance to the museum comes above ground again in the middle of the village. Everything has been left as it was that fatal day, including the doctor's car, which is still on the town square.
