Second nights stay, excellent, wish we could stay longer. The property is outstanding but meeting the family was the highlight. Having been to France multiple times in the last 15+ years, we have had lots of bad experiences but this truly restored our faith in the French people, the family are genuinely some of the nicest people we’ve met. We would go out of our way to stay here if we visit France again in the future. Their english is excellent, possibly better than ours 😁

The hosts were exceptional. They have a passion for the service they provide and which is catered for all tastes. As I was travelling with kids, we particularly enjoyed the beautiful garden, the dog, the impromptu football game on the manicured lawn. The breakfasts were very tasty full of fresh products from the garden and surrounding suppliers.

Fantastic host, Tatiana is so accommodating and generous with her time. We stayed in the old chapel, we were blown away by the property and the renovation has been completed to an extremely high standard. Lots of space for kids to run around outside. Wish we could stay longer. Once you have a car, proximity to Mont St. Michel is excellent, 11 mins to an Intermarché if you need supplies.

The Welcome, the room, the food was really excellent. Breakfast was all home cooked & with produce from the garden, honey, preserves, fruit, nuts, home made yogurt, eggs from the resident hens, freshly baked breads, local cheese. A truly delightful property with very caring hosts. They booked local restaurants for us which were excellent & gave us lots of information on what to see locally. And as we drove down the road from the property we had a most magnificent view of Mont St Michel which we able to walk to across the fields. Truly the best B&B we have stayed at in a very long time. We also had the use of a very well equipped kitchen to make tea/coffee & very comfortable couches to watch TV. The garden is a delight with lovely places to sit & watch the amazing sunsets. We would highly recommend this property.

Thibault and Tatiana were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. On our arrival, Thibault established reservations at a local restaurant he recommended. (It was also excellent.) Additionally, due to the timing of a flight out of Paris, we had to leave early in the morning...Thibault and Tatiana kindly prepared a breakfast for us half an hour earlier than they normally would. This was entirely unexpected but wholeheartedly appreciated. The property is stunning, the grounds well attended and the Lilac Room was perfect for my wife and I. I cannot recommend Le Clos Saint-Gilles enough.

It was a fairy-tale trip to the French countryside. It was more than chasing Mont Saint Michèle. It was a fantastic experience of living in the restored manor house, tasting local delights and waking up with a rooster. Although, it's a tricky thing to get there without a car (and it's better to order a taxi in advance), the owners kindly met us at the station. Moreover, thanks to Tatiana, we managed to get to Mont Saint Michèle in time, before la mére basse, and passed wonderful time in the Abbey. Amasing hospitality of Tatiana and Thibault make our trip unforgettable.
