Fantastic location to relax, with Chinon a short drive away for restaurants and shopping. The property is very well maintained and modernised historic building with excellent grounds and facilities.... and surprisingly large! Could not wish for more accomodating hosts and look forward to returning someday.

Outstanding. Historic cottage is large with modern updates: living room, kitchen, dining room, and two bedrooms. Laundry (washing machine) on site. Chantal was an excellent host and met us with keys. She helped with restaurants and other suggestions. Location is very quiet with convenient access to wineries, and other parts of Loire Valley. While here, we visited sites within an hour's drive: Angers, Chinon, and Tours.

Chantal and her husband Didier are an exceptionally warm and welcoming couple. There is absolute nothing about this property or its situation which can be criticised. The property is very well kept, and is itself very attractive in a beautiful rural location.Spotlessly clean, and equipped to 5 star standard. we would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends. Secluded, yet well located only 6 or so miles from Chinon, this quiet converted Farmhouse had everything we could have wished for in a cottage. Classily decorated and stocked with every facility you would need for a week long stay, including a superb hot-tub and Netflix, we would recommend Cottage D'Eleanor and would love to have the opportunity to visit again. The host, Chantal, who lives on site, was always available to assist us with any need, from recommending excellent restaurants (we would certainly suggest Les Annees 30 in Chinon) to the best chateau to visit (there are 79 along the Loire valley!). The views from the farmhouse are lovely and the cottage still retains many historical touches whilst being cleverly modernised for 21st century life (mind your head on the oak beams in the second bedroom though :). Great value for money, we felt this is a place to be highly recommended.

We work in international tourism and it would be impossible to find a better accommodation along with the nicest owners you could wish for. A winning combination. We have discovered a"rare gem". An excellent cottage that served the 3 of us (2 adults, 1 teenager) very well. It had everything we needed and wanted, plus the hot tub was very welcome to relax in. The hosts have gone to a lot of trouble to think of everything that might be needed for a perfect stay!

Chantal was a very friendly and welcoming host! The cottage feels like a part of history, with modern amenities like a jacuzzi. Kitchen facilities was great too. Chinon town is just a 10min drive away.

Our stay was delightful in every way! The cottage is beautiful, immaculate and well appointed, and the country setting is truly spectacular. You can tell that a lot of love and thought has gone into making this a pleasant and comfortable space for guests. The owner, Chantal, is so kind and warm. She made us feel immediately welcome and answered all of our questions. We slept like angels in the comfortable beds and woke up refreshed to the sounds of birds in the garden. Though we were only able to stay one night, we made good use of it by enjoying a beautiful sunset, lounging on the private terrace and cooking a small feast in well-equipped kitchen. Already looking forward to our next visit!
