You will find us to be an oasis of calm and relaxation in the heart of the Pyrenees Audoises countryside. Les Deux Chevaux is an excellent base for exploring the spectacular counytryside of the Pays Cathares or just for a stop-over between France and Spain. We are an hour south of Carcassonne, just under two hours from Toulouse, two hours to the Spanish frontier and only one hour 45 minutes to the Mediterranean coast. With hills and mountains, lakes and rivers, ancient castles and friendly villages, there is something for everyone. Les Deux Chevaux is built around an 18th Century farmhouse set within extensive gardens with up-to date facilities, large comfortable beds and modern private bathrooms. Free parking onsite is available with covered secure parking/storage for cycles, motorbikes and trailers. Substantial continental breakfasts are served and a “table d’hôtes” (hosted meal) or a simple supper can be prepared for you by arrangement. Vous trouverez chez nous une oasis de calme et de détente au cœur de la campagne pyrénéenne audoise. Les Deux Chevaux est un excellent point de départ pour explorer les paysages spectaculaires du Pays Cathares ou pour faire une halte entre la France et l'Espagne. Nous sommes à une heure au sud de Carcassonne, à un peu moins de deux heures de Toulouse, à deux heures de la frontière espagnole et à seulement une heure et 45 minutes de la côte méditerranéenne. Avec ses collines et ses montagnes, ses lacs et ses rivières, ses châteaux anciens et ses villages accueillants, il y en a pour tous les goûts. Les Deux Chevaux est construit autour d'une ferme du XVIIIe siècle située dans de vastes jardins et dotée d'équipements modernes, de grands lits confortables et de salles de bains privées modernes. Un parking gratuit est disponible sur le site, avec un parking couvert et sécurisé pour les vélos, les motos et les remorques. We love being able to live in such a beautiful part of the French countryside and appreciate the nature that surrounds us. We look forward to welcoming guests who want to explore the many varied hiking trails, cycle ways and historical sites of the Occitane region. Les Deux Chevaux nestles in the far corner of the Val de Faby. A short walk takes you to a local Auberge and community producers market but with easy access by car to the many tourist sites of the Pays Cathars and Pyrenees Audoises. Nearby towns of Espereza, Quillan and Limoux provide all facilitie. The ancient Cité of Carcassonne is an hour away with day trips possible to the stunning mediterranean coastal area of the Côté Vermeille. Nearby Airports include Carcassonne, Perpignan and Toulouse. Les Deux Chevaux est niché dans le coin le plus reculé du Val de Faby. Une courte promenade vous mène à une auberge locale et au marché des producteurs de la communauté, mais avec un accès facile en voiture aux nombreux sites touristiques du Pays Cathare et des Pyrénées Audoises. Les villes voisines d'Espereza, Quillan et Limoux offrent toutes les facilités. L'ancienne Cité de Carcassonne se trouve à une heure de route et des excursions d'une journée sont possibles vers la magnifique région côtière méditerranéenne de la Côté Vermeille.
