Staying in such an old building (we marvelled at the exposed beams) was wonderful and it was authentically renovated - comfortable and full of character in a great location.

Firstly - make sure you watch the YouTube link the hotel send for getting into the car park. It is tight entrance but staff guide you in if you have problems. Everything and very helpful obliging staff who spoke fluent English Room was studio apartment on top floor and was spacious, comfortable and had everything you need inc large TV with multiple channels. Car parking is €15 per night and breakfast is €15 for a basket that is sufficient for two people to share. Air con was welcoming due to temperatures still high. Bourges is a beautiful town to walk around however we only saw some in the evening. Plenty of shops and lots of restaurants and bars all close by. Great pizza restaurants around the area as many restaurants were booked up. Hotel very quiet with internal shutter We will return and hope to stay a few nights. I have stayed here many times and love the history of the building and the interesting way the rooms are furnished. Great secure parking for the motorbike. Bourges is a lovely place to stop.

Hotel the Panette is an historical mansion within the historical catre of Bourges. It is at 1 minute walking distance from the Jaques Coeur palace and five from the wonderful gothic cathedral. The structure is a reinassance building, with XIX century styled forniture. The room was big with a small kitchen and wood table with nice rooftop view.

A very characterful place to stay, comfortable and quiet . It is right in the centre from where you can enjoy wandering the streets of the old town and visit the magnificent cathedral. Fabulous breakfast.
