Hi, we're Tim and Terri and love hosting people. Unlike a lot of holiday lets, this property has NOT been bought to make money from. We've lived here from 1995 to Halloween 2022 ...and absolutely loved it. But times change and we have 'finally' moved (only 3 miles). The property has now been lovingly renovated & updated so now others can enjoy its charm & convenient location.
Far more money has been spent on the apartment for our guests than planned. This is because every time we faced a purchasing decision we always went with the option that gave the guest the best possible experience. For example, a lot of research went into bed linen, so you really notice the difference when you get into bed - you won't want to get up in the morning. Everything is a long-term investment for us. We're not after the 'fast buck'. If you come back again & recommend us to others, we'll have achieved what we dreamed of.
We live very close by, so if you need anything we're not far away & extremely keen to help make your visit perfect.
We love the open water and run a corporate hospitality charter business on our boat, a Technohull 35 Attitude sports cabin RIB.
Tim's background is underground club DJing, dance music production, marketing, making videos and entrepreneurships. Tim met Terri whilst she was podium dancing in a club he was DJing at. Terri is a snake performer, fire performer, stilt walker, singer, actress and entertainer, energy healer and animal communicator.
The property is a grade 2 listed building in a Conservation Area and constructed circa 1750.
The entire High Street and the beautiful streets that surround it are of Georgian architecture. They were built around the same time and are all meticulously maintained. There are many quaint, independent and unique shops including local fudge and other produce like New Forest Ice Cream, unusual boutiques for men and women, chocolate and gift shops, specialist wine cellars and many places to to eat and drink. We will send you a guide to help you when eating out.
A 2-minute walk down the cobbled Quay Hill will take you to the quaint and historic Lymington Quay where you can see working fishing boats, visiting yachtsmen and the local Harbour Master, Roddy, keeping things in order. Continuing along past the Quay you will see a landscape of many boats in the mariners.
There is a nearby beach in Milford on Sea, 3 miles away, easily accessible by car or a picturesque cycle along the sea wall. Also, on the doorstep you can experience the panoramic landscape of the magical New Forest where donkeys, ponies, cows, including highland cows adorning huge horns, deer and pigs roam free. Submerge yourself in the forests for relaxing walks, hiking or cycling amongst the rare and ancient trees, deer spotting as you go.
Alternative days out can be found 15 mins away, by car, in the pretty location of Beaulieu, famous for its car museum, owned by Lord Montague. Whilst you are nearby it is worth visiting historic Buckler’s Hard where war ships were built for Nelson’s Navy and sugar was traded. In our opinion this is the prettiest location in the New Forest thanks to the combination of old ship builder's cottages, the meandering Beaulieu River, the boats, the Master Builders Hotel, the Agamemnon Boatyard and trees that line the river.
We also run a luxury powerboat charter business. Watch the video at AttitudeCharter dot com.
