We were visiting MacAllan distillery with daughter and son in law and wanted each couple to have their own space. Brylach was perfect for this. The whole courtyard is lovely and gives a chance to socialise outdoors together too - bet it’s lovely into the long summer nights in the highlands. The cottages are very well equipped, beautifully decorated with lots of homely touches and very comfortable - we felt at home right away. Sharon is on hand if you need anything, but honestly there was nothing we needed.

The Bothy is a one bedroom cottage and The Hayloft is a one bedroom apartment both of which form part of the original Carriage Houses and Stables for the nearby Glen of Rothes House and dates back to 1873. Centered around an impressive courtyard with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside of beautiful Speyside. A real gem, a perfect hideaway, retreat or a base to partake in the abundance of activities and pursuits that are on the doorstep. No stay would be complete without a visit to at least one or two of the many world famous Distilleries of Speyside. Both properties are beautifully decorated with luxury touches and have everything that you could wish for a comfortable stay.
My husband and I enjoy the many outdoor activities that are on the doorstep here at Brylach. We mountain bike, rock climb, snowboard, hill walk, kayak, paddleboard, surf...but to name a few! We love our Springer spaniel Ghillie who equally loves living in this fantastic area as he joins in with all of our activities...our other hobbies are eating and drinking and oh boy are we spoilt for choice here in Moray.
Brylach Steading is under and hours drive to Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, an impressive small city with a relaxed vibe. Approx 90 minutes in the opposite direction takes you to the bustling city of Aberdeen. Within striking distance from Brylach you can find amazing beaches, walking paths, nature reserves, Cairngorms National Park, water sports, rock climbing, golfing, mountain biking, fishing lakes and river fishing plus world famous Malt distilleries in abundance. For those looking for a more leisurely pace there are beautiful Loch walks, restaurants, castles and natural wildlife and scope for total relaxation.
