We had a 'Bay View' room, but the window looking over the Bay was 'sprung', so there was just condensation and we couldn't see anything. Frankly this was very disappointing as we had paid for a Bay View room but didn't get a proper view. I wish I had pointed this out when we checked out as I feel we should have had some money back as a result. Also, there were no proper lights in the room, so we couldn't read in bed. Also, why do English hotels insist on double quilts? These are unheard of on the continent - people have their own quilts - for goodness sake Harbour View catch up with the times!

The property I booked was outside the town of St Ives in a place called Consol. However, was advertised as being in St Ives. There was builders rubble in the parking space. I was told that my 'private entrace' was through the french windows of the property and I would not, as a single traveller, have felt secure in such a situation. I did not stay at this property and would be pleased to receive a refund please.

What a picturesque town with outstanding natural beauty and so much to see in the way of art and ceramics. It does get very crowded during holiday times so I would recommend going out of season. Highlights include the Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Studio, the various galleries and the beaches. The walking could be difficult for anyone with limited mobility but there are ways around that in terms of getting transport. A really stunning spot. Plenty of excellent places to eat from beach cafes to independent bakeries and coffee shops to fish restaurants. It seemed that everywhere was very dog friendly too and many visitors were there with their dogs.

I’ve been coming to St Ives for 50 years so I’m slightly biased but it is a beautiful place with 5 beaches. Numerous good places to eat. Lovely little shops with different crafty bits in. Mostly flat when you are in the town area. Good location for exploring more of Cornwall if needed but plenty to see and do in St Ives.
Stayed here for 3 nights a lovely little place to stay. Staff go above and beyond, food and drink is amazing, rooms are spotlight and newly decorated. We had a family room comprising of 1 double and 2 singles and still plenty of space. They’re very accommodating and dog friendly even leaving a new toy for our dog. Towels changed daily and water etc topped up. I would highly recommend this accomodation. They also use a taxi service to and from St Ives which we found to be very reasonable too.
Stayed in one of the beach villas for four days. Stunning location on the beach with close views of the sheer power of the sea and beautiful Carbis Bay. The decor was sumptuous and an excellent venue for a family. Loved the privacy and ready access to the hotel and six restaurants.
Restaurants were fabulous and ranged from fine dining through a range of styles, all sumptuous varied and sophisticated.
Lovely lounge by the log fire. Really great experience!
The place is not a hotel as it is mentioned. It is more of a Bed and Breakfast place.
The landlord is really super friendly and accommodated us very well.
She is very helpful to understand our needs for the breakfast.
The breakfast is very good and homemade.
She is able to accommodate us even when we checked-in late in the night.
The location of the house is another plus, if you are ok with visiting the nearby shops by walking.
A beautiful studio apartment.
We loved our stay here. We enjoyed the walks down to St Ives.
We found the apartment to be spacious and the beds were comfortable.
The owner has thought of everything. The apartment is well equipped with all we needed for our stay.
The location is quiet.
We loved the extra things such as our welcome basket with scones. Overall a lovely stay in Saint Ives. Thank you. :)
St ives bay hotel was warm and welcoming as soon you step into the building , the staff was so welcoming and friendly couldn’t do enough for you
The hotel was clean and the room was cosy and the beds were extremely comfortable me and my family had the most amazing time there so thank you to the staff and cleaning staff for making our stay enjoyable one , we will be returning in the near future
Ideal for a large group or family (as we were). Clean , comfortable and spacious with everything you'll need, 20 minute walk into St Ives and/or Carbis Bay, nice local pub with good food 2 minutes away plus off road parking which is always a bonus in St Ives.
Would definitely stay there again and recommend.
Had a wonderful en suite bedroom with a beautiful view across to St Ives bay. The food was excellent, plentiful and really tasty with great selection. The grounds of the hotel were so relaxing and beautifully kept. While staying there were a couple of weddings but I didn't hear any noise from either event.
There are four beds in the room with one hiding under one of the beds. The place is quite close to beaches, bus stops etc, and coop the grocery shop is right opposite. Thanks very much for the Staff finding our ipencil and earphone and post them back to me even I’m not in Cornwall anymore. Many Thanks!
Stunning view of Porthminster beach from the apartment. The apartment was beautifully furnished, spacious and well equipped throughout. Location made Carbis Bay and St Ives town centre easily accessible. Perfect for our family size, which consisted of my wife and I, 2 kids and elderly parents.
We when checked out, we were kindly offered towels to take to the beach & also allowed to leave our car in the carpark. We thought that this was above & beyond and Anne on reception that morning was exceptional! We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and the beach was amazing.
friendly staff . prompt response to emails . lovely room and en-suite perfect . are in the restaurant and food excellent. able to use the spa at Carbis bay hotel as part of the package 👍
