I had a wonderful time in Oxford very much due to the host, Memory. She was so warm and hospitable and more than willing to help with anything. I was delighted with the private bathroom and my stay was very comfortable. The breakfast was just lovely with also lots of fresh fruit. I had been a little concerned that perhaps it would be difficult to get into Oxford. That was absolutely not the case. The bus stop into Oxford is just a short walk down the road and the bus service is perfect. I never had to wait more than a few minutes and it brings you into Oxford in less than 10 minutes mostly. The location is really ideal and it was a joy to stay with Memory, meeting her and the gorgeous cat.

One of the original miners cottage and been tastefully extended and renovated while marrying the old and adding a contemporary feel to the internal features. Owner added her colourful taste to the interior to reflect on her colourful personality. Unfortunately parking is Restricted and will only accept MINIMUM TWO NIGHTS.
Having travelled around the world myself and enjoying the privacy of staying in a guest house whether its a self contained cottage or inside the main house, I always enjoy the warmth of being welcomed into someone's home. There always seem to be mutual respect and something I treasure and hope to offer some of that to my guests.
Five Mile Drive is a famous road in North Oxford. Apart from the history of the name itself, in early Spring the beautifully lined Cherry blossoms are in flower. Both Banbury road and Woodstock road are within a short walking distance for bus rides into city centre or out towards the famous Bicester village. The Oxford Parkway train station is also within walking distance. You are also within walking distance to Summertown shops with cafes, restaurants, theatre and other amenities. For keen walks Port meadow is a few minutes away while within roughly 30 minutes you arrive at the Oxford University parks which are vast and well kept. This is only some f the things to know but there is a lot more if you google.
