Alistair and Helen Danter own and manage Edinbane self Catering. The business is run on our croft in North West Skye. As well as running the croft and self catering business Alistair is a rural economist and helen a Reiki / Shitsu practitioner. They have 3 adult children who grew up on the croft

The Merman Cottage and Tigh Dubh are both comfortable and authentically restored stone cottages each sleep a maximum of 4, offering stunning views over Loch Greshornish to the MacLeod 's Table mountains beyond. The wood-panelled open-plan living areas with wood-burning stove, satellite TV and DVD, provides a comfortable space in which to relax after a day on the hills. There are 2 bedrooms, one with double bed, the other 2 singles in each property. Our romantic Gypsy caravan (Ewan Bàn) is for 2, tucked away in woodland on the croft it has an external shower and compost toilet (the "cludgie") Gentle walks on our croft encompass the moor, woodland walk and the loch, all of which are rich in bird and plant life. An ideal base from which to explore the rest of Skye, being 20 minutes from Portree, 15 minutes from Dunvegan and 50 minutes from the Skye Bridge. Short breaks are available throughout the year.

Our croft is in the crofting township of Edinbane which is situated in north west Skye, approx 1 hour from the Skye Bridge, 8 miles from Dunvegan and 13 miles from Portree. The Edinbane Inn, Lodge, Pottery and Children's play park are all within walking distance of the cottages and Ewan Bàn.
