A 15 minute walk into Ambleside village offers a host of restaurants, bars, shops and a chance to ride the famous Lake Windermere cruise from nearby Waterhead. Other nearby sites include: *Dove Cottage & Rydal Mount - Home's of William Wordsworth. *Rydal Water & Rydal Caves. Stunning scenery, 10 minute walk from the house itself. *Loughrigg Fell: Stunning mountain walk from the top of the garden. Takes in breathtaking views of both Windermere lake to the South & Rydal water & grasmere water to the North.
