Burford is a medium sized Cotswolds town - pretty, lots of places to eat and drink, local independent shops and a good place as a base to explore the wider Cotswolds area.
Burford Golf Club is very close, as is the Cotswolds Wildlife Park. Both recommended.

Burford is a great place to visit.
Burford is a great place to visit. The shops are individual and interesting and it is one of the best places for pubs with open fires in winter. It is a very attractive place with many interesting buildings. A short distance away is a wonderful garden centre.
We ate one night at the Highway Inn where we were staying and the next night at the Lamb. Good meals in both.

Take your camera. There's lots to photograph.
Fantastic Garden Centre just outside is also worth a visit with lots of stores of other items and clothing. The restaurant is excellent.
We came to burford for the weekend and booked somewhere else , having stayed at this hotel for one night it was so awful , we checked out and booked into the lamb , it was like a breath of fresh air, staff were all so accommodating, beautiful bedroom , fires all on warm and cosy
We ate in the restaurant that evening , the food was superb
We were up the next morning early had breakfast also another triumph
I went into the lounge and at 9am the fire was already lit (Most impressed )
We loved our brief stay at the Lamb Inn. It is an old inn and pub, with immaculate, large, comfortable rooms. We were in the Allium, which has the hugest bathroom! The garden out back is so pretty and peaceful. The inn had a perfect location, on a quiet street just off the High Street. The restaurant was good as well. Burford is a perfect stop on the way to explore the Cotswolds.
This is a cute little place that had all the enmities I expected for the price. The room was nice and clean. It's off the main street so it was really quiet. The location is great--closed to restaurants, shops, and nice walking paths like the old church on the street behind. I loved the rose garden and the delicious baked goods. I recommend the fruit scone--best I've ever had.
The warmest staff, incredible location and a unique chance to stay in a piece of history. And the FOOD! The included breakfast was delicious, but thankfully they were able to squeeze us in for dinner because it was the best food of our 9 day Euro/UK trip. The rooms were clean and cozy as well. Would definitely book here again if ever back in the Cotswolds!
What can I say that hasn't been said before? Anna's B&B oozes charm in spades, her dogs are personalities in their own right, and Anna knows all the best places to recommend so you feel less a tourist and more a traveller. Thanks again Anna for looking after us and making my wife's birthday break a treasured memory. Onkar and Isabel.
The location was in the centre of Burford. The hotel was full of the character of a periodic property but had all the comfort of a boutique hotel. The walled garden was beautiful and spacious with tables and chairs. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The car park was large and convenient. The breakfasts were excellent.
It was a lovely cottage, well furnished and stocked with tea, coffee etc was just minutes from the shops, pubs and restaurants.
The hosts were great even rang to say we could access the property early. We also had use of their lovely private garden.
Burford is a beautiful village with lots to see and do.
The food at the swan ( both dinner and breakfast ) was extremely good . Menu options were very good and presentation and service excellent. Staff at the swan were welcoming and helpful , a credit to the hotel . The swan is a short drive from the delightful village of Burford and is in a quiet location .
Excellent check in service, nothing to much trouble for the very helpful staff, fantastic location and extremely charming and quaint hotel had a wonderful stay, although no parking at hotel it self ( Which is clearly stated on website) parking throughout Burford is free
The hotel and the room were really cool. We were in an attic space with handhewn 16th Century beams and a huge four-poster bed. The pub downstairs was a hot spot and other eating/drinking options were available in this remarkable historic town.
The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was adequately sized, clean and well equipped. The bar served good beers and the restaurant food was very good. Generous parking facilities and an easy walk into Burfod itself.
The hotel staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choice on the menu not just a full English. Brilliant location at the top of Burford high street. Will definitely stay again and have recommended to family.
The location of the hotel is very near to many attractions of Cotswold, a historical building with some pretty outside sitting areas. The room is clean and its size is good. All the staffs in the hotel are so friendly and helpful.
The hotel was lovely. Very welcoming and cosy . Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was lovely too. Great location to some picturesque villages. Just a five minute walk in to Burford High street. Hopefully will return soon .
The Hotel is located less than 5 minutes drive from the centre of Burford, making it easily accessible. The staff are welcoming and caring. The breakfast is very good. We were more than pleased with our room.
very central in the small town of Burford. very comfortable hotel, lovely breakfast and the young lady at reception called Darci was amazing. She went above and beyond and is a great asset to the hotel.
All was excellent. Shame about the weather.
General ambiance was great.
A short walk to a beautiful town.
In easy driving trip to several well known hotspots of the Cotswolds.
