Please note: this is NOT a hotel and there are NO staff so it will only suit house looking for an independent stay. Looking for a private country getaway but VERY close to shops and amenities? You have found it! Our new holiday rental is a spacious studio apartment which is dog-friendly with free parking on site. Ideally situated within the green belt grounds of a gorgeous country estate here in historic Bradford on Avon, it very close to Bath and lovely surrounding towns. Beautifully furnished it is a large room with a small kitchen, comfy king bed and a separate large, luxury shower room. Plus your own patio and garden, a 50 inch smart TV and hi-speed wi-fi.

I’m married to James and we have three children and moved here to Wiltshire in the summer of 2019 from Berkshire. I love the peace and quiet that Bradford On Avon offers (no planes!) and whilst it feels like you are in the country, it’s great to be so close to the town and the city of Bath which is gorgeous. Love Frome for the independent shops and markets too. I adore dogs and I have Kennel Club accreditation with regard to show spaniels as well as a 5 Star Animal Welfare Licence from Wiltshire Council and we privately hire the fields in our grounds to dog walkers and trainers - you will be able to use it when you're here. I’m also very fond of chickens and have a flock of around 25 mixed rescues and pure breeds. The vast, vast majority of our guests are wonderful (you can read the negative reviews of the ones who haven’t been!!) because they have read the listing and booked accordingly - we are not a hotel (it used to be years ago before we moved in here)! Both guest houses are self-contained and quite separate and are set up to run independently of us - but we are on site most of the time should you need us for something important. We don't meet and greet and try and give you space and privacy albeit we have a friendly team you might come across working in the grounds. Kind regards Amanda

Bradford on Avon is a stunning historic town with lots of independent restaurants and coffee shops. Granby Cottage is conveniently situated just 1 mile away from the town centre (less than 5 minutes drive to the town), and only 0.5 miles to the local Sainsburys which you will find very handy. The local train station is just a 12 minute train journey to the centre of Bath and there are two dog friendly pubs either side of us which are a 12 minute walk away. Whilst you will not be bothered by traffic, light pollution or planes, we keep with grounds free range rescued Aylsbury ducks on one of the ponds and a flock of hens (help yourself to eggs if they are laying!) and horses within enclosed areas.
