Douglas took over the Masons Arms in May 2021. He is undertaking some upgrades within the property, so Guests can be sure of a warm welcome and cosy rooms. The Pub will offer a comfortable and inviting environment for you to relax in and enjoy our range of beers; lagers; and spirits.

The Masons Arms has been a public house for over 100 years and offers a warm and friendly welcome. Our dog-friendly Pub, which was voted Number 1 by Tripadvisor is now a Free House and has been refurbished throughout to make your stay a very comfortable one. We offer a good selection of beers and lagers including Real Ales – Check us out in the Good Beer Guide 50th Edition! We also offer FREE Pool all day on Wednesday’s and FREE Jukebox on Sunday’s. There is also an opportunity to take part in our Quiz which is held every Thursday at 9pm and be in with the chance of winning our Jackpot! Karaoke is held on the last Friday of every Month also from 7pm until Late! Our Accommodation is made up of 5 Bed & Breakfast Rooms. We offer quality, comfortable rooms with Egyptian cotton bedding and towels; flat screen TV; complimentary hospitality tray; toiletries; hairdryer and free WI-FI. We can also offer cyclists an indoor, secure space for your bikes. Please note, we do not allow animals within our Accommodation. A walk through the clinking halyard of Amble’s award-winning marina will take you to the harbour’s wooden pods, which sell everything from cheese to charm bracelets, as well as its sea-front pathway where sweet treats and salty fish and chips are en-route. Watersports enthusiasts should head for the Coquet Shorebase Trust, which offers a cascade of aquatic fun, from sailing and kayaking to power boating and raft building. Adorably clumsy puffins, lolloping seals and an array of other seabirds dwell on Amble’s coastline and the Puffin Cruise that sails from Amble harbour is not to be missed. Hop on board to spot the 36,000-bird colony nesting on Coquet Island, an RSPB seabird sanctuary a mile off the coast. Head into Amble’s town centre for a High Street crammed with cosy cafes, independent shops and traditional pubs perfect for tasting local tipples. The mouth-watering scent of the local butchers can be enjoyed as you wander along the highstreet, as well as the sweet smell of sticky pastries from the bakers.
