Located in Coniston, just a short walk the to village centre, The Apartments Coniston features apartments, each containing lounge, dining and kitchen areas. Welcome! We are Steve and Angela, a former policeman and nurse, married for 11 years, and we own The Apartments, Coniston. We’ve been enjoying the Lakes for years and we’ve always had a dream to live near Coniston so when the opportunity to buy The Apartments came up we couldn’t resist. Over the years we’ve become experts in apartments and cottages in the Lake District and somehow we just couldn’t find what we were looking for a lot of the time – a clean, spacious, contemporary place with a bit of luxury where we could self cater for a weekend or a few days where we could bring friends (and the dog) and where we could relax after a hard day’s walking somewhere that felt like a home from home. So with that in mind, we’ve set out to create just that in the form of The Apartments, Coniston. It’s a place where you can bring yourselves and the car, the kids or some friends and you can use it as a base from which to explore the Lakes, and then unwind at the end of the day. Apartments 3 and 5 now have full central heating installed and Apartments 2 and 4 will follow by the end of this year, replacing the current system. Each Apartment has a modern kitchen set up for self catering,

Our Apartments Our apartments have been created so that they are comfortable yet stylish, warm and welcoming, and practical and well laid out so that you can make the most of your holiday. All apartments come fully furnished with enough kitchen equipment so that you'll have everything that you need for self catering (no need to pack the bottle opener!). We supply all bed linen and fresh towels and are happy to unpack your supermarket shop by prior arrangement if it arrives before you do. We also keep a stock of 'sensible' items in the cupboards including tea bags, salt, pepper, sugar and vinegar so you don't have to bring half the kitchen with you when you come.

Neighbourhood information

Coniston The village of Coniston is nestled under the enormous crag that is The Old Man of Coniston and next to Coniston Water – one of the most beautiful areas of the Lake District. The village itself is small with a fantastic visitor centre and a number of different pubs and shops. It’s the perfect starting point to exploring this part of the Lakes and even further afield. There’s so much to do in the Lake District! Here is a summary of some of our ‘top tips’ so that you can make the most of your stay. Water sports Coniston is a great place to enjoy water sports! You can visit the Coniston Boating Centre from where you can hire out motorboats, rowing boats, canoes or sailing dinghies and there are also a number of launching sites for privately owned boats. If you prefer to enjoy the view and get a bit less wet, then you can opt to take a Gondola across the lake and enjoy the scenery that way. Walking There are so many different walks you can take from Coniston that you’ll be spoiled for choice. Cycling You can bring your mountain or road bike with you (secure bike storage will be available from July 2018)
