Hello & Welcome! You are probably reading this because your have just discovered Geufron Farm & are curious about who we are before you decide to book a stay. (Very smart by the way!) I’m over the moon that you are here & always delighted to share what its like owning, running & staying at Geufron Farm in beautiful south of the Snowdonia National Park. And by me, I really mean us – Dean (my husband) & I, plus our two adventure pups, Bracken & Dottie! So, let me explain how Geufron Farm came to be… After well over 2 decades working in online financial services, the buzz of corporate life had finally worn thin for Dean and I. We knew we needed a new challenge. The idea for a place for those who love adventure & the outdoors to recharge from the stresses of everyday life was born on a day spent in the mountains. The search was on to find the perfect spot! In 2018 after much searching across Europe we stumbled upon Geufron Farm, in the south of the Snowdonia National Park. Despite its sorry state at the time, instantly it just felt right. We always knew we had A LOT of work to do to breathe new life into The Old Farmhouse & Barns. Little did we know driving towards Bryncrug on a dark evening in 2020 as the new owners that just a few weeks later the whole of the UK would go into lockdown & our dream of opening our 5 beautiful farm properties to guests would be halted. What a time to buy a hospitality business! We could have crumbled but instead, we upped the budget and ripped out & renovated even more than we had first planned. Think Escape to the Chateau ... but on a farm, in Wales. Our friends must have thought we were off our rocker, but we knew that this special place deserved a really special overhaul. Welcome to The Granary at Geufron Farm! The Granary or “Y Granar” in Welsh, is the perfect bolthole for a romantic break. You enter the Granary on the top level where you find a small but perfectly formed open plan kitchen and living/dining area. Downstairs, where the young calves once snuggled up to keep warm, you'll find your double bedroom with ensuite shower room and barn door to your outdoor terrace.

Neighbourhood information

Geufron Farm is set on the southern fringe of the Snowdonia National Park, an Area or Outstanding Natural Beauty. In an enviable south facing position in the Fathew Valley the mountain & sea views are outstanding and there is plenty to do. The mountain ranges of Cadair Idris & the lower lying Tarrens are ready to explore, Talyllyn Steam Railway passes in the valley and and beautiful Cardigan Bay provides family & dog friendly beaches which are far quieter than those in the North of the Park. Our friendly local pub, The Peniarth Arms, is just a short walk away across the fields in the village of Bryncrug where you can also pick up the signposted walk along Afon Fathew (River Fathew) to the seafront.
