We regularly visit Bowness, and this apartment is in the perfect location to explore the area. It was lovely to have our own apartment for the weekend, and so much more space than a standard room. My husband also left his watch in the apartment. The owners contacted us while we were on our way home to reassure us that it was safe and they would post back to us. It was posted recorded delivery the next day - fantastic service and much appreciated. We would definitely stay again!

Forget a time where you could expect to stay in a room or even a suite, for here at The Rockefeller we take pride in providing exclusive boutique apartments in full to our guests. Being the only boutique aparthotel set in a former bank in the Lake District, you can expect a stay as luxurious and unique as our setting, as well as discrete and private at every turn. It’ll be easy to sink into the comfort afforded by our glamorous accommodation, for the building itself is distinctive in its appearance and is flanked by beautiful sandstone mullions and impressive limestone stonework.

The linked towns of Windermere and Bowness are at the very heart of the Lake District, with beautiful Lake Windermere, England’s longest lake, right on their doorstep and breathtaking scenery wherever you look. Windermere grew around the railway station, about a mile and a half from the lake, and Bowness is Cumbria’s most popular destination, boasting a cosmopolitan mix of shops and restaurants, and a large choice of accommodation to suit all pockets.
