Everything was amazing. This is so much more than your average place to stay, the facilities are second to none. So comfortable and homely, well kept and to a very high standard at that. The log burner was built up for us on arrival and the bedrooms are huge and extremely comfortable. Each bedroom having its own en suite with shower and another toilet/shower room downstairs is a real bonus. The kitchen is amazing and really well equipped along with another utility room including washer and dryer. The underfloor heating downstairs is great and the 3 smart TVs are a real bonus too. I can't believe what was included considering the price we paid. To say there were 4 of us staying at £55 each per night we had a real bargain, it really was an unbelievable find. I'm so impressed and so are my wife and friends who stayed with us. We will definitely check this place first for our next alton towers trip.

Enjoy your stay in this stylish, newly renovated old stone stable building with all modern conveniences. 1 mile from Alton Towers in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands and on the edge of the Peak District. There is off road parking for up to 3 cars and an outside dining space. An electric charging point. The Star at Cotton public house next door. Open plan living space on the ground floor with lounge, diner , kitchen, log burner. Double bedroom and a master suite/family room both of which are en-suite. Smart tvs and Wi-Fi.
Hi. I'm Sarah, host of The Stables at Cotton. We're in a lovely hamlet called Cotton which is very close to Alton Towers and next door to The Star pub and restaurant. The area is so much more than Alton Towers. We have wonderful scenic walks and we're situated next to Cotton Dell and Dimmingsdale. The local market towns offer shopping, cinemas and bowling. We're on the doorstep of the Peak District and local attractions include Peak Wildlife Park, Dovedale, Splash Landings, Water World and plenty of walking! We live close by and can be available if the need requires, guests will be given mobile phone number, email addresses as well as the ability to contact through the booking apps
We are situated in the small hamlet of Cotton. Pub and restaurant next door called The Star at Cotton which serves excellent food. Cotton is right on the edge of the beautiful nature reserve; Cotton dell which leads to Oakamoor and the Churnet Valley. Oakamoor also has a public house. A walk down the old railway line will take you to the picturesque Dimmingsdale, Alton and Denstone. Along the way you can find the Ramblers Retreat, public houses and Denstone farm shop. Illam and Dove Dale in the Peak District are only a 20 minute drive away. We are one mile from Alton Towers, other attractions near by are Peak Wildlife Park. The market towns of Leek, Cheadle, Uttoxeter and Ashbourne are all within a 20 minute drive. Guests own transport is essential for this area as there is no public transport. Off road Private parking which can house 3 vehicles is available.
