Very comfy and cosy. Nice and warm in January. Clean, tidy and well kept. Board games were a nice touch! Great for a night in. I didn’t personally meet the hosts but they were helpful via the private messages on booking.com

Newly decorated and refurbished, the property features a large corner sofa, flatscreen TV, a dining table seating four and a lovely kitchen. The kitchen is fully equiped and we provide, tea, coffee, sugar, milk & butter on arrival. There is also a small stock of salt, pepper, oil, tin foil, clingfilm and washing powder. Upstairs, there's a good-sized bedroom with a king-sized bed, cotton bedlinen, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is a lovely shower room with a walk in shower. There is a small, gravelled area outside the property with a table and chairs to enjoy a drink or meal when the weather permits! Please note, the property has a low ceiling downstairs and would not suit guests over 6ft tall. There is free parking on the street, which is very safe. In the bedroom wardrobe there is an ironing board and iron, plus a drying rack for clothes. A hair dryer can be found in the chest of drawers. Swindon and Kemble train stations both have direct trains to London, or the M4 heading west to Bath, Bristol, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, or east to London is around a 25 minute drive away.
Your host is a professional chef and is happy to provide a basic evening meal. Guests can choose from shepherd's pie, chilli & rice, lasagna, vegan tagine & cous cous (v, gf). Each meal costs seven pounds and fifty pence per person. Please give 24 hours notice. Your meal will be placed in your fridge on arrival with re-heating instructions.
Based in the village of Ashton Keynes, at the start of the river Thames, and on the edge of The Cotswold Water Park, the property is a 15-minute drive to the market town of Cirencester. For walking enthusiasts, there are many walks around The Thames Path. The lakes on The Cotswold Water Park offer swimming, sailing, paddle boarding and canoeing. In Ashton Keynes there is a well-equipped village shop and the White Hart pub, which serves food most nights of the week. Nearby pubs and restaurants include the Waterside Kitchenand Bar and the Bakers Arms, which are both walkable in about 25 minutes or a five minute drive away. In Cirencester there are a range of supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants and shops. The villages around the north Cotswolds can be reached in around 45 minutes (Moreton in Marsh, Chipping Norton), Bibury in 30 minutes or catch the train to London - an hour and 15 mins from Kemble Station or an hour from Swindon station. Bath and Bristol are about an hour’s drive away or can be reached by train from Swindon station.
