I own and run my lovely holiday cottage in the stunningly beautiful Yorkshire Dales. A job that I truly love! The Courtyard is part of my home which is a 200 year old farmhouse in an 'area of outstanding natural beauty'. My ethos is to provide 'Affordable Luxury' and my guests comfort and enjoyment is my top priority. The cottage provides excellent accommodation for couples who enjoy the countryside and is perfect for walking, cycling and touring the Yorkshire Dale National Park and surrounding areas. Only a 20 minute drive into the beautiful spa town of Harrogate, 15 minutes from Ilkley, 25 minutes from Pateley Bridge and 25 minutes from Skipton. We like to think that although we are surrounded by open countryside we are in fact in the middle of everywhere! We even have a fabulous gastro pub you can walk to. I would love you to come and stay and to really experience your 'escape to the country'! I have a very busy life running The Courtyard Cottage and just love what I do! However, when we have time, myself and my husband love to travel. I also really enjoy making my celebration cakes!

Our hamlet of Timble contains 26 houses, a methodist chapel, a village hall and a fabulous bar/restaurant/pub within walking distance. Walking from the doorstep couldn't be easier, fishing is a stones throw away in the nearby reservoirs and if you love to cycle it's your paradise. 'The Tour De Yorkshire' takes place around Timble every year. You don't have to travel far to visit a number of wonderful stately homes, estates and open gardens. Harewood, Bolton Abbey, Harlow Carr, Fountains Abbey and Castle Howard to name just a few. You really must take afternoon tea at the famous Betty's tea rooms in Harrogate and Ilkley!
