Underhill Holiday Cottage offers stylish open plan self catering accommodation for up to 2 people in 1 double bedroom. Underhill Cottage is ideally situated in a quiet spot away from the main road, down a steep tarmac and concrete road and over 2 cattle grids (not recommended for certain low suspension vehicles) in the perfect location with stunning views across the Esk valley. It is nestled between the vibrant seaside town of Whitby and the tranquil and beautiful scenery of the North Yorkshire Moor National Park. This rural location is home to an abundance of natural wildlife, wild flowers and provides an ideal environment for a wonderful holiday or break away.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) and we live onsite in the property next door. We are always on hand should you have any questions but we generally leave guests alone to enjoy their break away.

Sleights is an attractive well served village with a mini market, pub, butcher, bakery, fish and chip takeaway/restaurant, tea room and numerous cafes along the River Esk. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is on the doorstep with easy access to villages like Goathland (Heartbeat country) and Grosmont where you can step back in time on the famous steam railway. There are glorious walks nearby including the Cleveland Way which offers miles of walks across the old railway line.
