Beautiful modern lodge with a gorgeous view. The lodge was really comfortable, spacious and homely. Owners were more than accommodating and went the extra mile. It was a great base for us to explore Northumberland.

Valley View Lodge is situated on Percy Wood Country Retreat, Swarland, Northumberland, surrounded by forest with nature walks, deer spotting, red squirrels and other wildlife in the vicinity. Swarland is a perfect base from which to explore Northumberland including the Cheviots, Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle, market towns and beaches. The lodge has an open plan living space, with large, modern stylish kitchen, family dining area and lounge area. The lounge area is complete with an L shaped sofa, two armchairs, a living flame fire, large flat screen TV, and free wifi. There are also two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed with en-suite and another with twin beds. The Lodge comfortably sleeps 4 guests, with the addition of a sofa bed in the lounge to accommodate up to 6 guests. There is also a family bathroom. Valley View Lodge is situated on a prime, south facing site with unspoiled views overlooking the 18 hole golf course, complete with a large decking area equipped with outdoor furniture, all weather multi sports court and a children's play park. Newcastle upon Tyne is 27 miles from Valley View Lodge, while Bamburgh is 24.9 miles away. The nearest airport is Newcastle International Airport, 29.2 miles from the accommodation.
