Welcome to our home away from home! We built and furnished this house from the ground up with great care and love, and until we can live in it full-time, we welcome visitors looking for a comfortable stay with all the familiar amenities. Our house in Jabang is a little bubble of western comforts in the heart of a typical Gambian neighborhood. It is spacious and open with comfortable furniture. It has all the must-haves for a relaxing stay: AC unit and ceiling fan in every room, a wardrobe, desk and spring mattress in all bedrooms, hot water heater for the shower, dining room with table and chairs, a large couch and smart 55" TV with Netflix, a DVD player and movies and books for your use. There is also free wi-fi and a nice kitchen with all amenities, including a hood over the stove/oven. There is a well and water-pump and back-up solar power. The property is extremely secure and private with a high fence and watchman (the on-site host). We have an Acura MDX and driver available for an extra fee. Right next door is a local mosque; enjoy the call to prayers! PLEASE REMEMBER: THIS IS A SHARED SPACE AND EACH ROOM IS ALLOWED 2 PEOPLE TO USE THE PREMISES. NO GATHERINGS OR PARTIES ARE ALLOWED.
Popsie's Paradise is a hide out spot. it is extremely quiet in our neighborhood with only the local sounds of animals, the mosque and occasional vehicle. There are local convenience stores just steps away where you can get breakfast, basic needs, and snacks.
