The villa can accommodate 8/10 people in an area of 200m2, with 4 bedrooms with no doors, rooms that come one from the other, following the primary shape of the house with respect of its original architectural style before the total renovation in 2003. There are also 2 bathrooms one with jacuzzi. The villa has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room with fireplace. TV with DVD/CD player is provided. The house hosts original works of art by the owner, as well as many other artists, Greeks and foreigners. For our young friends (...and adults), you'll find toys, games, books, music and movies. In Italian, English and Greek language. The house is not the best place for babes under 2 years old because of its layers ad stairs, but upon request we can provide all necessary. Outside there is a big private garden, the swimming pool with a great view, which is located in the “heart” of the outside space, the wooden dining table under the pergola, all the different relaxing areas and the parking. There is a garden area with local aromatic plants that the hosts can use for cooking. There is also a BBQ area with all it needs.
I am an interior designer and i love the traditional cretan architecture and the old stone houses with their authenticity and natural beauty. All forms of art , philosophy, poetry, books, the nature and my family with two boys, complete my life.
Kastellos is a delightful, traditional village in the heart of Crete, strategical place to explore the wonderful, big island of Crete. Enjoying a unique, direct environment of excellent climate. The property is set at the side of the village, with marvelous views across the rooftops of Armeni village and away across the valley to the mountains. Staying here, one can feel the natural tranquillity as the scene is completed by the clear, transparent atmosphere and the sounds of nature. Watching the mountain turning purple during sunset and the moon rising over the valley is an unforgettable experience.
