The spacious external area of the large olive grove where one can relax in calm natural surroundings makes this villa special.Before the construction of this villa tis was the place where the traditional cooperage of the Petta family existed.
Besides my profession I have been involved in the traditional making of wooden wine barrels.Today as it happens I am the one and only person in Zakynthos, who continues this traditional craftsmanship directly from my grandfather and my father.Furthermore I am interested in the Zakynthian folk theatre.I have written short-lengthed theatrical plays and organised the production of such.
Close to the villa, at a distance of 200 m approximately, lies the church of Agios Dimitrios with its tall bell tower.Bellow this church there is the village square with a small outdoor theatre.This is where from time to time theatrical plays of Zakynthian traditional theatre known as "Omilies" take place.Close to the villa there is a small workshop of wine barels making of my property with old tools specifically made for this.You can visit it if you wish to on request.Inside the villa there is an album with photgraphs relative to these two activities.The location is favouring long walks for recreation.
