Our host Michalis, is one of a kind person. Michalis helped us and was willing happily with anything we asked for. we could not ask for better place or hosts when we arrived, homemade goodies were waiting for us: creten honey, marmalade, homemade-wine, Raqi, cookies, cretan herbs, fresh eggs from his chickens The best stay for those who would like to be near Heraklion and still, have all the best village atmosphere in a very modern equipped relaxing villa

I could not have imagined a better start into my holidays than staying at Villa Ornament. I was welcomed with the greatest warmth and hospitality by Michael and his grandparents. Fresh pastries, tomatoes, grapes, melons and courgettes from the garden were just another treat that sweetened my stay. The villa is located only 20 minutes south of Heraklion by car and offers every imaginable comfort. The view over the valley from the terrace is unique. You can sleep in absolute peace even with open windows and the only sound you hear in the morning is the lovely singing of the cicadas. I can only recommend a stay at Michael's villa to each of you.

Everything was just PERFECT. The communication with Michalis, the young owner, was prompt and efficient. The house and its beautifully maintained garden is like a little paradise, the atmosphere so relaxing and calm. All facilities are brand-new, modern and light, with great attention to detail. The kitchen is very well equipped and spotless clean, so is everything. The location of the house is just amazing, in the middle of nature, very quiet, perfect for nature lovers and star gazers. The traditional village of Dafnes is in walking distance. I received a very warm welcome by Michalis and his mother, with Cretan delicacies, homemade marmalade, fresh vegetables and fruits from their garden. Both did their best to make my stay comfortable. Convenient location also for a stopover on the way to South Crete (i.e. to Agia Galini, Triopetra areas).

Der Aufenthalt in der Villa war traumhaft: absolute Ruhe, mitten in der Natur, Sternenhimmel... Die Villa ist hervorragend ausgestattet und wir wurden von Michaelis mit Gebäck und Produkten von seinen Feldern ausgesprochen herzlich und gastfreundlich versorgt. Für alle, die Ruhe und Einsamkeit suchen und trotzdem in der Nähe von Heraklion urlauben möchten ist es ein optimaler Ort. Wir kommen sehr gerne zurück.

Dieses große Haus mit riesigem Grundstück hatten wir zu zweit nur für uns allein. Es gab in der Küche alles fürs Frühstück und darüber hinaus: Tee, Honig, Raki, Wein etc. und wir sind spontan nicht wie sonst immer zum Abendessen und zum Frühstück gegangen, sondern haben uns bewusst auf dem schönen Grundstück aufgehalten und dort gegessen. Ein super Blick in die Landschaft und eine Ruhe, wunderbar ! Wir sind auf die Villa gekommen, da wir im Ort eine Weinprobe gemacht haben und nicht mehr weit fahren wollten.
