The property was simple, clean with a daily cleaning service, good air conditioning great bathroom and comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful with both any room needs or local advice such as about getting around town or good restaurants.

Thallos Cave House offers a modern interior with all amenities for a completely private and relaxing stay, for 4 to 6 persons. Kallisti Double Studio, the house with a view of the Church of the Assumption, offers a modern interior with all amenities for a completely private and relaxing stay, for 2-3 persons. The outdoor Jacuzzi, on the private veranda of Thallos Cave House & Kallisti, will help you get rid of all the stress of everyday life, giving you moments of enjoyment! Argyrochromo and Nautilus Double Studio are located on the third level of Thallos Cave House and Apartments, offering a panoramic view of the traditional village of Karterados. Relaxation and Privacy are Thallos commitment!
Thallos, or otherwise the tender branch. This is how it all started, when I was little and spent my summers in Santorini. My grandfather’s house was my sanctuary from childhood fears and the “rules” of the elders. Every corner of that house created positive feelings in me; as if it was protecting me from everything. The house that was built in 1955, was always there for me and every year it housed my dreams. My zest for life and my dreams also grew as the house was being renovated by my parents, who respectfully preserved the Cycladic architecture best suited to that house and the village where it belonged. The more beautiful and bigger it became, the more Cycladic and summery form it gave to my inner world and my free spirit. And to this day, it still does that. It gives me life and I give it space, substance, love and modern comforts. Through the renovation that took place, the traditional Greek Cycladic architectural style was preserved and further developed. Upon your arrival here I hope you discover it too and find the calm and warmth that possesses it. I look forward to meeting you in person!
Karterados is located just two (2) km from Fira, almost in the middle of the island. As it was located in the bed of an old stream, the village was literally invisible! Its name comes from the Greek word ‘karteri’, as the village residents hid and waited at this spot for the pirates. Karterados offers a view to the eastern side of the island and in front of it stretches a large plain with vineyards. In the middle of the village, beyond the traditional bakeries, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets, dominates the church of the Ascension of the Savior, with its bell tower in the shape of a tower. Our houses are located near the church. The village square has a traditional windmill and a plaque in memory of the victims of the war of 1940. From the main road you can just see a neighborhood with cobbled streets and the captains’ houses built into the rock. Taking a walk on these streets will give you the aura of the village and a tranquility for a beautiful start of your vacation on the island! The road to Karterados leads to the beach of Karterados or otherwise known as Exo Gialos. This beach has fine black pebbles, due to the volcano, and dark blue crystal clear waters.
