Villa Lena is made for living, enjoying and pleasure, contrary to the design of hotels or hotel-like spaces. We aimed at creating a space where we relax, unwind and smile and this is evident through our decorative choices, small canvas paintings & coloured rocks created by my mother, Sophia, books, flowers and nice music. Our house is located in the beautiful cretan village of Sivas. Built within this small agricultural settlement, it offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy their holidays while they experience many diverse aspects of local daily life. Surrounded by olive groves, domestic animals, and friendly hills that change colour in the sunset, it is an excellent option for getting to know the area's rural life and acquire a good feeling of a mediterranean landscape. At the same time, it's placed in a highly valued tourist zone, just 10 min by car from the famous beaches of Matala & Kommos, as well as from very important archaeological heritage sites, such as Faestos & Gortyna. Its close distance to the mountainranges of Psiloreitis to the north and Asterousia to the south provides access to trekking routes, mountain bike trails & road trips towards the magnificent Libyan sea.

Our neighbourhood is at the tip of village Sivas. As it is a small village, it doesn' take more than 6 minutes on foot to get to its centre where you can find the basic amenities, such as supermarket, green grocers, tavernas with tasty local food, local craft shops, etc. The area surrounding our house has a few small private family houses, scattered olive trees and an olive grove, various household animals, mainly chickens, goats, hunting dogs and cats, lovely views to Psiloritis and Asterousia mountains, and a lot of fresh air!
