Comfortable, clean and beautiful place to stay in Antigua. The hosts, Alvaro and Lupita, are some of the kindest and warmest people I’ve ever met. They truly welcomed me like family and I instantly felt at home. They went out of their way to help me with anything I needed and giving me advice and information about the area, as well as practicing my Spanish! Although it is a short walk into the centre, it was very quiet and peaceful. The simple breakfasts were appreciated and Lupita even accommodated my dietary requirements. I highly recommend staying here!

A home away from home, run by the friendliest and most welcoming couple! The rooms were comfortable and clean, with nice bathrooms. The complimentary breakfast was much appreciated, and varied every day (bread, fruit, spreads etc). It was a short walk into town and quiet at night. Safe place to store luggage. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in Antigua :)

Even before arriving, the owner proved to be very helpful, arranging transportation from Guatemala City to Antigua and sharing information about some tours. Once I arrived, he and his wife showed extreme availability, hospitality, and professionalism throughout my stay. The room had everything necessary with a comfortable and very clean bed. The bathrooms too, were large and always very clean, which is important to me when shared. The wifi works well, breakfast is plentiful, and above all, the house is beautiful with a large terrace and views of the volcanoes of Antigua. The kitchen is organized in such a way that if you buy something, you have your own container with your room number, one in the fridge, and another outside, great! What I liked most was the tranquility of the neighborhood during both day and night, and the blackout curtains in the bedroom, as I cannot sleep without darkness.

We only stayed one night but Alvaro was a fantastic host, in communication via Whatsapp prior to the stay and made our arrival seamless. The place was gorgeous, calm, homely, and with a beautiful rooftop terrace and bonus pup! We had to leave early but they made sure coffee and breakfast was available for us. The room was basic but really comfortable, and all we needed. Would definitely stay again. Thanks so much! *Note to make sure to meet your shuttle outside by the basketball court, as they may not find Casa Ela to knock.

Lovely room and super host! Lupita and Alvaro were a friendly and nice couple, if you need anything like volcano hike or transportation, just ask them! Fair price and local guide ;)And you can see the Fuego from the terrace!

We stayed here before and after the acatenango hike. We really enjoyed our stay! Very nice hosts, clean house with a lot of facilities you can use and the possibility to leave your stuff there during your hike.
