At a distance of 6km from Vela Luka lies Tankaraca Bay. It is well known for its olive groves and quality olive oil. These are found on low hills which gently slope into two beautiful bays, known as Vela Tankaraca and Mala Tankaraca. The natural pebble beaches face the island of Hvar.
