During the renovation great attention was paid to details and quality. The beautiful, individually furnished house displays character and charm with a timeless quality. The living room has a balcony with a beautiful view on the garden. A wooden staircase separates the bright living room from the second floor, where the bedrooms are. The windows in the house have built-in fly screens, which are very convenient during the summer months. The whole house has got underfloor heating, so it's also suitable for renting during the Winter. The entrance gate to the private parking is controlled by a remote control and provides a comfortable and secure parking for two cars. The pool is 7.4m x 3.6m. Near the pool there is an outdoor kitchen with fridge, a covered shower and a toilet. Garden furniture is also available. In the courtyard there is a stone BBQ.
Hi! My name is Marli, and I'm a university professor. I live with my husband, who is an oncologist, and three daughters in Marčana, a town near Pula. In 2018 we finished reconstructing the building that now is CasaMenta: we dedicated great care and commitment in the restoration and arrangement of the house, keeping alive the traditional Istrian way of building and living, but at the same time making it a delightful and cozy place that will make our guests feel like home, treating them as we would like others to treat us. Marčana is a tranquil and peaceful place surrounded by nature and the sea, so I enjoy taking long walks in the fields, or picking mushrooms in the woods along with my family and our dog, Eileen. When times get hard or when I'm going through a stressful period, I just think to myself that it doesn't matter: summer will come, I'll go swimming, and everything will be just fine! Well, it's kind of a motto for me :)
The citizens are friendly and ready to help anyone, the estate is fenced and there are no loud neighbors. The village Marčana has got about 1000 inhabitants. In our neighborhood there is a playground (2-minute walk) and two shops (only 15 meters away), where you can buy fresh bread every morning. The post office, the ATM, the pharmacy, cafés and snack bars are all located within 50 meters. Big supermarkets can be found in Pula, which is 14 km away. The beaches in Duga Uvala, Kavran, Peruški, Vareški, Rakalj, Krnica can be reached within 10 minutes by car. If you want to enjoy nature, peace and quiet, then these beaches are the right place for you! The beaches are not crowded in the Summer, and you can choose between single beaches, rocks and various hidden bays. The sea is crystal clear and warm during the summer. You can also take a walk in the nature - there are many paths through the woods. One can also go biking or riding. The istrian peninsula is a great place to relax, with old and small towns, a beautiful landscape and a variety of events in the summertime. For wine lovers and gourmets, there are many specialties to try.
