We have never came across such lovely, friendly staff on our visit. Gemma was one girls name, not sure of the other girl. But both outstanding and breakfast girl was the same.
Rooms could be update but the rate was very very good.

We really, liked Michael who helped us with our luggage and was very pleasant and friendly. - Very impressed with Farnham for employing people with special needs. We liked the spa, the pool, and the location of the hotel.
We were disappointed at little added extras not being there since our last visit and that the 2 restaurants did not deliver uniquely different dining experiences. We noticed the walkways were in the process of much-needed renovations.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

First class in every respect.
First class in every respect. The rooms, breakfast and facilities were excellent. Most of all the host gave a great welcome and tea in the living room. The converted Mill is a beautiful environment. As a descendant of Glangevlin's McGovern family the stay was full of the best in Cavan hospitality.

We didn't see much as we were there for christening.
We didn't see much as we were there for christening. However beautiful setting . Everything seemed so far away from each other . There is a little town which seemed nice. It is at least an hour and half drive from Dublin. We needed a taxi to get from hotel to Dublin to fly home which cost €280.00 so you need to be aware of that if your not driving yourself. Every person we met or spoke to were so friendly .

Lakes and trails a plenty and it’s very easy to head out to neighbouring counties too!
We found the restaurants we eat in to be of a really high standard.
The property is a beautifully restored historic building, set in the most tranquil surroundings that will inspire the imagination. The rooms are tastefully presented and very comfortable and the garden views are lovely. The ideal place to get away from it all and yet only minutes from local amenities and a short drive to Cavan town. I will certainly be returning for more visits. Highly recommended. A special thanks to Helen, who helped make my stay extra special and cooks a delicious breakfast.
We had a warm welcome and enjoyed our weekend stay in Toddy's Cottage. It's a lovely cottage just outside town with all the amenities we ever wanted for a weekend stop-over. The cottage has been refurbished properly and everything is clean and tidy. The cottage is located in a green setting and a calm corner of the country. Perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.
Greets from Belgium & Dublin.
Our room is very clean & spacious, the bed & pillows are so comfy; and the host Bridie and Mary are very welcoming and chatty :)
They offer self-catering breakfast which suits us a lot as we like to have an access of kitchen. There are juice, bread, eggs available in the fridge as well as cereal and tea for guests.
We had great stay and will definitely be back again next time when we visit Cavan.
Absolutely gorgeous cosy cottage! We felt at home from the minute we arrived and were so sad to leave. Lovely peaceful area that is so close to a little town called Ballinagh which has lovely places to eat (Tillies tea room is a must visit!!) and it's a short distance to Cavan town. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back!
Hellen has restored this Millhouse in immaculate fashion. Hellen is a gracious and very kind host. Fresh flowers adorned the breakfast area and the traditional Irish breakfast was superb. Well done, Hellen and family! She even accommodated our late arrival without concern. A definite repeat in our book.
i did have an unfortunate experience with my car and i received the most generouse help anyone could expect from the staff and neighbiurs. the property is very quiet but is most asccessible for the major towns in the area - would reccommend to anyone
Very clean and spacious ensuite rooms.
Nice sitting room and kitchen with everything you need.
Close to the farnham hotel and cavan town.
Bridie was very welcoming and a lovely host.
Would highly recommend and definitley stay again.
Breakfast was delicious as always. I find the help yourself option efficient. The dinner in the hotel was lovely but a bit on the pricey side compared to Cavan town. Spa was lovely. Wonderful helpful staff. Would stay again.
The accomodation was spotless and very spacious. It was a 5 min walk to the hotel where we had full use of the facilities. Extremely good value for money and we had our own space to chill out.
Everything. This hotel never fails to please. The bed and bedroom is big and spacious. The breakfast is exceptional. the staff are very friendly and helpful and the spa is a lovely treat!
Beds very comfy, staff very friendly and helpful. Meals delicious. Free parking on site a bonus. could not fault anything. Ideal base for touring the area. Good shopping town nearby.
A lovely comfortable hotel in the middle of town...rooms spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good & we eat in the restaurant on one of our nights there. Would recommend.
