Very welcoming staff, hotel room comfortable and spacious. We left an item behind and they rang and offered to post it but we went back and because the food had been good the night before and at breakfast we got lunch in the bar

The hotel is only a 15-minute drive from Westport, Castlebar and Mulranny, while Achill Island is 25 minutes' away. Local activities include fishing, cycling and walking. The Newport is close to several golf courses, such as Mulranny, Westport and Castlebar.
