* Please be advised that Sholayar Dam is 14 kms further away from Valparai Town (if you are coming from Pollachi/Aliyar side). This would take another 45 - 60 mins of road travel. * The only mobile network available is BSNL, so please bring a backup sim. We have a landline connection and WIFI at our property to make any emergency call to family/friends. * No ATM machines in the nearest vicinity so we would advise all our guests to bring cash as necessary. We will accept card payments soon! * Valparai is a renowned Eco-tourism destination and we want it to remain that way. Please enjoy the amazing natural vistas as you travel but be responsible not to litter, not to throw plastics, not to feed wild animals like Monkeys and Tahrs, not to over speed and honk unnecessarily and please promote local businesses. * Valparai is a mid-elevation hill station. The weather throughout the year is pleasant with consistent rainfall. Our rooms are not fitted with AC as it is not necessary but ceiling fans are available in every room. * Spotting wild animals at night is very common. For your safety, we have an electric fence around our property which runs through the night and a watchman to keep vigil as well. * Our building is certified and has an "Fire Security License" from the Tamil Nadu Fire and Safety dept. Fire extinguishers are placed in every floor for any emergencies. * Our kitchen has a FSSAI license from the Food and Safety Board of India to provide you with clean and hygienic food. We use the best local produce and our oil is never reused. We use separate cooking utensils and plates for pure Veg. guests. Please note that there are no decent restaurants near Sholayar Dam area. * Our hotel is Wheelchair accessible (only ground floor). * We are aware of our impact on our environment so we have used energy-efficient LED fixtures in our property. LEDs consume at least 75% less energy than incandescent bulbs and last 15 times longer. Soon, we plan to use solar panels to heat our water to avoid using electric water heaters.
