Our beautiful Northern Lights cottage is located only 25 minutes from Selfoss and 60 minutes from Reykjavik city. It is located in a beautiful nature in a peaceful place, with easy access to major touristic places in the South. No matter if you are relaxing or exploring, you will feel amazing enjoying the beautiful sunset during summer nights or the amazing Northern Lights during winter from the terrace. The house is a beautiful and cosy family cottage. In this cottage you will enjoy beautiful nature and views over a lake and mountains. The house is well equipped with everything you need to have a pleasant stay. We have two bedrooms, one with a good double bed (140cm) and the other with a bed for one (120 cm). In the living room there is also a sofa that can be changed into a double bed (140 cm). Our kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook your meals and outside we a new BBQ. Good bathroom with a shower. Located near the town Hella and the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the south of Iceland such as Hekla volcano, Seljalandsfoss, Landmannalaugar, the Golden Circle, Eyjafjallajökull, Þórsmörk and more.

We are a family of five that just bought this wonderful cottage from an old couple. We have spent the past months in renovating the whole place to make it our dream holiday house. I hope you will like it as much as we do :)

Around the cottage is a big land owned by us with beautiful trees and flowers which is amazing to enjoy on a nice summer day. There is a beautiful view over the lake on one side and mountains on the other side. The sunset on the deck during the summer is a amazing to watch but during winter time you can have the northern lights show just by stepping outside.
