The property is perfect, spotless and has everything you need, including toiletries. The bed was very comfy. It was very handy to have a fridge with a little freezer inside and small kitchen area. It’s around a 30 minute walk from the main bus station (where the airport bus drops you off if you don’t have hotel drop off), although you can probably get a public bus too. There is a bus stop only a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel. The property is like a little apartment. It was handy to have a code for the door to the main building and the room so there was no key. The host/owner sent a property guide which was very detailed and helpful prior to our stay, which included information about the property as well as helpful information about tours and activities (some of which I found were cheaper than booking elsewhere). They also text prior to checking in and upon checking out.

Situated a 1-minute walk from Reykjavik’s Laugavegur shopping street, these trendy apartments offer self-catering kitchen facilities and free WiFi. Restaurants, bars and cafés are just a few steps away. All units at The Swan House by Heimaleiga feature a flat-screen TV, wooden floors and minimalist-style decor. A stovetop and tea/coffee maker provide convenience, while the large beds offer added space and comfort. The apartments are about 600 metres from Harpa - Reykjavik Concert Hall and Conference Centre.
