The two old farmhouses have been beautifully restored using original materials of the time: field stones, hand-made bricks, timber beamed ceilings, terra-cotta floors. As was customary, the ground floors were used to house animals while farmers used to sleep upstairs. You can enjoy your stay in the farmhouses and discover a forgotten or unknown atmosphere, visit the olive press, learn how olives are picked up and transformed into extra-virgin olive oil.
I do love cook and share the secrets of the tuscan kitchen with the guests who wish to join the cooking classes settled weekly. During the summer we pick up fruits and vegetables in the orchard and decide what to cook and then, we have dinner all together. Simple food and old recipes represents the amazing way to know the tradition and the way people use to live.
For it is so conveniently located, a 30-minute car ride can take you to celebrated towns such as Volterra, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and Colle Val d’Elsa. Florence and Pisa are only 40 kilometres away for those beckoned by fashion, art and history. 40 kilometers the Versilia seaside as well. Indulging in moments of genuine pleasure is also so close, as Casciana Spa is 2 kilometres away from the farmhouse.
