The perfect place for some downtime in Monterosso. Facing out over the sea just off the coast path, it’s an amazing romantic retreat to listen to waves, watch the sunset and generally chill whilst being within walking distance of both sides of Monterosso. All nautical themed, there is a bedroom on the top floor and kitchen, diner and bathroom downstairs (beware the steps are narrow and steep) Three terraces outside, had breakfast on one, lunch on another and sunbathed on the third. We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer and was the absolute highlight of three weeks in Italy. Sylvia the owner also runs L’Ancora de la Tortuga restaurant which is only 2 mins away and was so good we went twice. Would be back in a heartbeat.

The location was unbelievablely scenic as well as convenient, the accommodation was very clean and atmospheric, and the hostess was pleasent and helpful. Quite literally this was the most beautiful flat in which I have ever stayed! The money was worth this once in a lifetime experience. We got reservations at the associated restaurant--delicious meal!

I was worried that this location was too good to be true but it was actually better than I had imagined. The Casa is well located for either beach / town of Monterosso, as the old town beach is straight through the tunnel so about 100m away, as is Fegina by the time you get to the steps, although closer from a viewing perspective. There are 3 outdoor terraces which, given how crowded the Cinque Terre is, was an absolute luxury. From the western terrace you have a splendid view of Monterosso and the Fegina beach, so you can see all that is going on and feel part of it, but have the luxury of your own space. The Casa is very well appointed and thought out, so while not huge, we found we had space to put most things away during our stay, and it had all the facilities we needed. Silvia, our host, was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. Silvia also left generous breakfast supplies which was a pleasant surprise.

This is, I think, our best travel experience. Everything is perfect, the view, the welcome of the owner, the apartment, the terraces, calm and close to the shops and beaches. It is a unique place. Sylvia, thanks again. I recommend this accommodation without hesitation. I will be sure to come back.

Really comfortable. Views great. Outdoor seating really good. The food at the restaurant was really good as well as good service. Quiet even though centrally located. Water pressure in downstairs shower really good. Location stocked well for the time we were there.
