We stayed only for 1 night but the host Maria made us feel very welcome. She is so gentle and helpful. The room had a big TV, was quite big,clean and the beds were comfortable. The view is breathtaking since the place is in the middle of the woods and you only hear just chirping birds. Breakfast was good with croissants,biscuits,eggs,toast,yoghurts and the homemade jams were really good. Hope we will return in the future to stay another couple of days in that peaceful surroundings. They have friendly dogs which is a plus for me :)

Once you get to this lovely place (it's best to do it by car), you'll want to stay there forever! Far from the noise, tourists and hectic cities, you immerse yourself completely in the atmosphere that surrounds you and in the local Sicilian spirit. You are in a historic place, with a fabulous view of the mountains, you are surrounded only by the natural sounds of nature and you have all the modern comforts! A wonderful harmony between old and new! And the attitude of the hosts was more than superb! Every evening we enjoyed Sicilian meals, home cooked by the lovely Marzia, who you can count on for absolutely everything to do with your stay. We love you, Marzia! This place is a peaceful sanctuary for the soul. A place for rest, contemplation and enjoyment. The hotel is decorated with good taste and respecting the old building. The surrounding valleys are natural wonders. The staff is warm hearted and always helpful. And the dogs will steal your heart. Breakfast is superb!

The place itself is an authentic farm building and the terrace overlooking the green valley and woods opposite is a lovely place to sit in after a day out and before eating the marvellous dinners cooked practically to order by Signora Alfia. The host is a lovely person and the atmosphere in the place is one of warmth and welcome. The surroundings are tranquil, and the room itself was quiet as there is no storey above and there were two doors between our room and the next one. There are pleasant walks around Le Casa di San Andrea itself and the location was just right for taking day trips to Pantalica, Akrai, Palazzolo Acreide, among others. The town of Buccheri is close by if one fancied trying other restaurants or needed a pharmacy or groceries.
