Madison Hotel, hotel in Rome

Madison Hotel is directly opposite Rome Termini Station for metro and bus services across the city.

Nothing. Unfortunately it did not worth the money at all! The building is very very old with so many problems. We did not have water on the 6th floor the first day. Sink was clocked. Cleaning staff are not doing good. They only make the beds and nothing else. The bathroom smells awful. In conclusion spending even 1 euro for this hotel is wasting of money. We are very sad about aour accomodation.

visiting the enchanting city of Rome.

visiting the enchanting city of Rome. As someone who has always been fascinated by history, art, and culture, I found Rome to be a treasure trove of timeless wonders. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend adding it to your travel. Walking through the ancient streets, I could almost hear the echoes of the Roman Empire. The Colosseum, standing as a monumental symbol of Rome. the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Michelangelo's frescoes are as awe-inspiring as you might imagine, and St. Peter's Basilica, with its magnificent dome, is a testament to the architectural brilliance of the Renaissance. One of the most delightful aspects of Rome is its vibrant culture and cuisine. Savouring authentic Italian pasta, pizza, and gelato at charming local trattorias was a highlight of my trip. Each meal was a celebration of fresh ingredients and culinary tradition. Rome is a city that truly has it all: history, art, cuisine, and a vibrant culture. Whether you're exploring ancient ruins, admiring Renaissance masterpieces, or simply enjoying a leisurely espresso in a quaint café, Rome offers an unforgettable experience.

Rome is great for tourist attractions, pasta dishes, ice...

Rome is great for tourist attractions, pasta dishes, ice cream and history. Big problem with Rome is it's handling of tourist, especially at the Roman Forum ticket queuing system. Before I went to Rome I pre booked my ticket, did all the ID stuff on line. Got my ticket, flow to Rome and turned up at the set time. Two massive queues. No clear signs to which queue to use, asked ticket lady's advise, she told & pointed to a queue. So I joined this queue, waited for about 30 mins, when I got to the front of the queue, the security man told me I was in the wrong queue, I should be in the another queue. I was very upset as I have a physical disability which makes standing very painful. Plus there was no shade and the sun was beating down. I called over the lady who advised me to go into this queue, to address the problem. She came over and LIED, said she had told me to go in the other queue. They either think tourist are stupid or they (in my opinion) think we are worthless and beneath them. Security guard argued that it would only take 5 mins in the other queue, it took 50 mins, standing in boiling sun. Other tourist seemed to experience the same problem. Also, world heritage site, no provisions for people with a disability, you think there would be a law against it. I came to Rome to visit the Roman Forum, in the end I wished I had not bothered. Certainly it's not worth buying a ticket and queueing up. Just peer over the rails from the Via dei Fori Imperiali. Loved the Pantheon...a must see...their ticket system worked. Another problems in Rome; Noise pollution, especially from people playing music loud on their phones....it may have been okay if it was beautiful Italian opera, 3 tenors or choral, to go with the surroundings, unlike the terrible stuff I heard at full volume.

I was impressed how much cleaner the city is. (Last time I visited was 2019). Locals say their lady mayor is doing a great job. The Catholic Church is preparing for its Jubilee Year, Holy doors will open on Dec 24, lots of upgrading, repainting, cleaning are being done around Rome. We enjoyed the classical concert at Piazza Santa Chiara wc is staged MWF. It’s a must watch.

Rome is a wonderful city with many incredible historical sites. I have been twice and have had a great time both times. It can certainly be crowded since it is a major tourist destination but still worth it. The food experience is amazing as well. The metro is a convenient and easy to use option but I find Rome a great walking city too.

The hotel is beautiful. The bed was the only one I slept in a month in Italy that didn’t leave me sore the next morning (I love Italy, but am used to American beds). The staff were gracious. Above all, the hotel is in a fantastic, real neighborhood, steps away from the best place for pizza in the city, Pizzaria Ostiense, and some of the best gelato in town, Gelateria La Romana, and tons of cool bars and club. It’s also a quick drive to the airport from that end of the city, so it was the perfect place for my last night in Rome.

I loved everything about this place. Leaving the property and coming back felt like home. It was quiet yet not right in Rome but accessible to everything and I loved being in the Trastevere neighborhood. Out of the 2 weeks I stayed in Italy and I stayed in many places this was my favorite. Between the terrace, the location, the comfort of the bed and the blackout shades it was just an incredible stay. Fausta the owner is super friendly and accommodating. She even had some amazing desserts in the lounge room.

I usually don’t put reviews on booing.com, but this apartment deserve an exception. The apartment in very good location, where you feel like you’re living in the town, and everything is close. Also, the house has that Italian touch where it has a nice garden with a beautiful and wide living room and nice arts on the wall. Finally, an advise to anyone going Rome, if you want to live the full Italy experience stay in this apartment as it was the best part in our holiday. Big thanks for the friendly owner.

Excellent location in the historic center. You can walk to every major monument and plazas (5-15 minutes). Get the breakfast, excellent value for the buffet. If you haven’t been in Italy before, and Europe for that matter, keep in mind that this is the “Old World”: Hotels in the historic centers are old, so don’t expect large rooms with large bathrooms. You get just enough space to get clean and rest. Go out and enjoy Rome!

The hotel is located near Termini station, there is a PAM local supermarket nearby and a few bars and restaurants. We stayed in a large room, with a balcony and a nice view over Rome. The hotel staff was, the room was cleaned everyday and had all things we needed for a comfortable three-days vacation in Italy.

Perfect location for walking to many highlights of Rome and even 10 minutes from Roma Termini train station making it convenient for catching trains to other parts of Italy. Air conditioning was working well, extra blankets, cheap minibar, nice shower, comfortable bed, secure feeling hotel.

Large and adorable apartment in the heart of Rome with a balcony! We had breakfast on the balcony daily and were walking distance to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Stairs, and Colosseum. This was our favorite hotel out of 5 on our tour of France and Italy!

When in Rome we will always stay at this hotel. Absolutely perfect. The best breakfast in all of Italy. Wonderful staff. No complaints whatsoever. Close to all kinds of public transport. Not a very long walk to the old town.
