Michael, the host was very helpful before the day of my check-in. He assisted with the boarding procedures. Although it was very hard to find the hotel at first, good thing he was responsive on WhatsApp when I contacted him. I booked a room with a terrace but there was no terrace. It's okay though. Room was very clean and was well supplied. Location is excellent, walkable to the historical attractions and landmarks.

The location was perfect, just a minute walking distance from the Fish market. Our host was amazing, we arrived quite early and he quickly arranged very smooth early check-in for us even though the check-in time is from 15:00. We were positively surprised of the cleanliness and the beautiful view of Catania and Etna from the balcony.

An excellent location - 50 yards off the Duomo, the fish market and 200 yards to the bus station for the airport. For me even better was that heading away from the obvious tourist areas (turn left out of the front door) there is an excellent and lively pub just around the corner and another 50 yards further on a, non-tourist, piazza with a wide choice of restaurants. The room was excellent with all the facilities needed, high-tech entrance to the building and room via WhatsApp message. Michael the landlord speaks excellent English and offers a wide range of advice on local facilities. British visitors will be surprised by the exterior appearance of properties in Sicily which don't look like British hotels, look almost industrial externally with graffiti on nearby walls, no obvious accommodation sign, yet very modern and comfortable inside - this is more about Sicilian norms than a reflection of this place in particular.

A great location, very close to the fish market and the alleyways of restaurants. The rooms were light and airy too. I would consider staying here again.
