Our holiday home is located at Park Ippotur in Castelnuovo Magra. It is located on a hill in the forest along with other private cottages. Sea and beach are about 8 km from the park. The park has a lovely swimming pool with separate children's pool. There are lovely sun loungers with parasols around the pool. The restaurant is right next to the pool, nice and close if you want to get a drink or ice cream. Cottage/ tiny house Anna is located approximately 100 meters from the pool. Its on a hill so you have to do some climbing. Has a spacious covered veranda and a veranda part which is not covered. So you can sit in the sun as well as in the shade. There is a lounge set and a set with a dining table and garden chairs. The cottage can accommodate 4 people and has air conditioning and heating. There is a TV. It has a spacious sitting area and there is a fully equipped kitchen with 4 burner gas hob, extractor, large fridge, with separate large freezer compartment above, and plenty of cupboard space. There are 2 bedrooms. A bedroom with a double bed and 2 wardrobes to store clothes and other items. And a bedroom with 2 single beds. Also here a closet for clothes etc. The bathroom has a toilet, a shower and a washbasin.
We are Gianni and Ans. Gianni was born and raised in Sardinia. Our dream of our own place in Italy has come true. We have had our house for over 2 years now and have not seen everything in the area after many visits. Must see: 5Terre, Pietrasanta, Portovenere, Pisa, Luca, Florence. But also the small villages a few km away such as Nicola. Italy as you like it. Do you like nature: Stretti di Giaredo, Malbacco waterfall, Grotta de vento, Camaiore candalla waterfall. Shopping in the largest outlet in Europe, or closer to an outlet with a little less shops, or in the indoor shopping center La Terraze with a huge COOP. Walk or rent an (electric) mountain bike. Plenty of possibilities to view the surroundings in your own way. And of course do not forget the beach and the sea! Upon arrival you will be welcomed at the reception of Park Ippotur. They will give you the keys and all the necessary information. They speak English and Italian and are happy to help you with tips and ideas.
Castelnuovo Magra is exactly on the border of Liguria and Tuscany. Just in between Cinque Terre and Pisa. A beautiful area with a lot to see and do. If you like cities, go to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, or La Spezia. Smaller villages but just as beautiful are eg Portovenere, Pietrasanta, Montecatini alto. Go to La Spezia and take the train there to go to all the villages of 5 Terre, rather by boat? That is also possible. Do you prefer to stay nearby? Nice small villages such as Nicola are about 1-2 km away. Park the car and walk around the village. Small streets where no car can come. There are also beautiful walking routes to get there. There is plenty of nature, it is a rugged landscape, hilly and wooded. Take a walk through a gorge / canyon, visit the marble quarries, swim under one of the waterfalls or visit a stalactite cave. A day less nice weather, visit an outlet or the indoor shopping center in La Spezia, about 20 minutes drive. And of course sea and beach nearby. Tired of a day of looking around, try the delicious food in one of the restaurants in the area.
