This isn't your standard hostel. It's a house near the beach with a really great host. You feel welcome the moment you step through the door. They offer free bike rentals and surfing lessons for a fair price. I sadly didn't stay that long ,so I recommend for the surfing experience to take more than just a few days to stay there.

I was running a marathon the next morning so I needed to come in early and rest before the race. They had free bike rentals so I could borrow one in the afternoon and ride down to the convenience store and the beach for a practice run then stop at a restaurant on the way back before settling in for the night. It was all very easy and convenient.

The best sharehouse I have ever been to. Beyond cleanliness and comfort matching or exceeding hotels: nice decorations, free amenities (coffee, snacks, etc), and the nicest people! I also choose to add surfing lessons and it was a blast that topped off the end of my trip perfectly. There are bikes available to take around town and to the beach as well. Could not recommend more for those who want to enjoy the beach, or to really to anyone in the area!

Warm and friendly hosts that made us feel super welcome! We hope to come back again to stay at this awesome family-run hostel. They have a lovely big kitchen and dining area for guests to cook and hangout. Located right across the road from a great surfing beach with bikes for free and surfboard & wetsuit rentals. Lots of things in biking distance if you don't have a car and we took a train nearby that took us to the airport when leaving. Emi and Sok also offer surfing lessons and surf-skate lessons which we didn't sign up for but heard good things about from other guests. Super clean and wifi was good (my partner had to do a video meeting while there). The suggestions from our hosts on which breaks to go to so we could get some great surfs in were also really appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay that capped off our awesome time in Kyushu!!

Finecamp Backpackers Guest House was more and far better than I possibly imagined. Sok-san and Emi-san were so kind to me and helped me learn surf and more than that, the way they welcomed me and make me experience Miyazaki was wonderful. I came here for relax myself and just enjoy the beach and it was simply amazing to see that I find myself wanting to stay more. They give surfboards and bikes for a rent and it was the best thing to have there. If you are alone, in a group, if you just want to explore Miyazaki or rest for a few days, you will not find a better place than there. I will surely come back here. Super friendly atmosphere, the hosts are amazing. Emi helped us out several times, especially at the beginning when we got off at the wrong station and on the last day, when she helped us call and book a site on a campground we wanted to travel to. Bike and board rental was super good as well 👍 The kitchen is very well equipped, if you like cooking, you’ve got a great opportunity here!
