Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely fantastic. The master chef, Mr, Ito was exceptional. I have traveled several countries with well-known gastronomy including France one month ago and Italy 2 weeks ago. Food at Chalet Ivy was by far the best. It should be on the Michelin star restaurant list.
Featuring traditional Japanese-style rooms in serene surroundings, Jozankei Daiichi Suizantei is situated just 4.2 km from Sasaki Fruit Farm. It offers hot-spring baths and massage services.

We have been visiting Hokkaido late March and the stay was wonderful. The staff was very nice and most of them had a very good level in English, we have a very fond memory of the people here !
The traditional Japanese breakfast was absolutely amazing and is a must to try ! The rooms and bathrooms are gorgeous, perfectly encompassing Japanese beauty and sobriety, the private outside bath could easily fit 3 people and it was a bliss in the middle of the snowy landscape ! Please note that tattoes are not allowed in the public bath even when covered.
We recommend 100% ! Thanks again to the staff for everything !

My experience staying at the Grand Blissen Hotel Jozankei was outstanding! The staff were very professional, attentive, polite and friendly! We felt very well looked after throughout our stay here. We only knew very super basic Japanese phrases, but the staff were very accommodating, and did their utmost best to communicate with us (with a mix of English, basic Japanese words/phrases, and using a translator app where necessary). We felt very welcomed, happy and at ease.
For meals, I was the only Vegetarian within my travelling group, and I had notified the hotel via email prior to our visit. Our group was very pleased with the Dinner and Breakfast! My Vegetarian meal was very well thought out, and it was very delicious! My meal did not feel lacking when compared to the standard menu, and I was very happy with it.
Both the Public and the Private in-room Onsen facilities were marvellous! Both had an extraordinary view into the valley, the river, and the snowy mountain across the hotel. We even saw a few deer roaming about! The Public Onsen was very clean, and well supplied with amenities. We felt very relaxed and comfortable in the waters! When we were in Tokyo earlier, our skin were drying up from the water and the harsh body & hand wash (my eczema was flaring up). Our stay at this hotel rejuvenated our skin, and left us feeling silky smooth! Also, my words cannot fully describe how wonderful it felt to see the snow drifting gently towards us, to meet the steam that rose from the pools we sat in, all whilst we enjoyed the view of nature!
Overall, I only have high praises for the Grand Blissen Hotel Jozankei, and I definitely recommend them!
Offering an outdoor pool and hot spring baths, Hotel Shikanoyu is nestled among the rich nature in Jozankei.

Even though a tad expansive, the staff was just marvellous to provide the best (I guess you’re paying for that)
Yukatas are available for the guests, so cool for foreigners to wear them
The onsen is great also
Lastly we got a wonderful gift to our kids before leaving which made the experience even more wonderful
