The view from the upper floors was amazing. You could see the snow-covered city down below and the shinkansen go back and forth.
From the booking process (getting us a room with a view) to the checkout process (getting us a taxi to the station), the staff was courteous, very accommodating, and even gave our toddler a goodie bag.
I wasn't expecting the open-air onsen, so that was a nice bonus, especially during our winter stay.
We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit.

Everything are the best in your way. I cannot give the hotel 10/10 because the Chinese name of the hotel is a bit hard to find a map on-line.

Great town. Nice size - big but but very big, small but only incomprison to very big places - ie more laid back than Tokyo and Osaka etc but more going on than a (picturesque) paddy field. Try the Gyu-tongue set ( or go home really, it is the local thing. very nice)

Unfortunately I was thinking of another hotel when I did my initial review so I badly underscored this hotel. My apologies to Hotel GrandBach - it is an outstanding hotel worthy of a 10 and not the 7 I gave it. Beautiful hotel, modern, clean, wonderful atmosphere, great facilities, amazing onsen, live music, free snacks and beverages in the lounge, friendly and helpful staff, easy location - I can’t commend it more.

Sendai is known as the City of Trees - and for good reason.
Sendai is known as the City of Trees - and for good reason. There's an insane amount of massively large and tall cedar trees everywhere! It's a very easily walkable city and if you need to go to parts beyond there's great transport links, either via the metro, overland train (JR), trams, or even the Sendai City Loople Bus - which takes you around to about a half dozen major attractions - think hop on / hop off.
Must see spots in Sendai are Rinnouji Temple, Zuihoden Mausoleum, Sendai Castle (Aoba Castle), and a little further out of the city (about an hour by train) is Yamadera Temple - not to be missed!
The city is centred around the massive train station in the centre of town and it does not disappoint. There's floors of shopping, restaurants, groceries, fancy food vendors, anything you could want. If you can't find anything in the labyrinthian corridors of the station, venture outside to the over 2500 restaurants and bars. I challenge you to not find something - anything - to satiate yourself with.

I absolutely adored Sendai and will visit again!
I absolutely adored Sendai and will visit again! The only problem that we had was the heat and humidity during the middle of September limited what we could do, but we made the most of our time at the Sendai train station-shopping!, the trees in the area were beautiful (I can see why they call it city of trees), we road the buses quite a bit (air conditioning) so we got to see quite a bit of the city, and made the most of the mall that was near the train station. Felt VERY SAFE there, the only con that I could say would be that unlike Tokyo, there were not to many people who spoke English but we expected that because our daughter works there, however she did most of the translating and figuring out the yen to buy things was actually quite easy, except for the coins. Navigating the trains was pretty easy, the people there knew some english and were quite helpful. It was a wonderful place to do it, very pretty and we will go again next year.
It's a well thought out and equipped hotel in the heart of the city. I appreciated the dual elevators as there was never a wait.
Breakfast was good as always and varied a bit each day.
It's an easy walk from there to Kokubuncho, the nightlife area, and Sendai Station. If you're there from mid-December definitely checkout the Starlight Pageant illumination on Jozenji dori a few blocks to the north.
There's a paid parking lot next door though it isn't cheap- I think it cost me 4200 yen for an overnight stay.
The location is perfect for enjoying the city. Just a short walk from the Sendai Train Station and to a nice shopping strip. Incredibly central location to explore. The bedroom itself was pretty spacious and the bathroom layout was very convenient. Friendly staff and they have a Spanish and English Speaker to help you check-in in case you don't speak Japanese.
I forgot belongings from another hotel. I requested the hotel to coordinate with the hotel at I forgot belongings. And then I received the belongings before checking out. I am very happy. I would to very thank you the hotel for their help. The hotel is in a convenient location, close to JR Sendai, only 300 meters. Clean room, free food, recommended.
The location of the hotel is highly convenient as it is located just north of Sendai station. The hotel building is well maintained and my room was clean. The cost of the hotel was quite reasonable considering the convenient location. Being right next to a major transit hub allowed me to easily explore quite a few different areas around Sendai.
I stayed in one of the cleanest hotel the I ever stay. It's Japanese style hotel with very nice Onsen.
This is my first experience that we have to removes our shoes when we enter the hotel. The hotel location quit near with Sendai train station and city center where we were very easy to looking for meal and shopping
- Location was a couple of blocks from the Sendai Station. Short and easy to reach the hotel.
- Many restaurants and shops nearby. Extremely convenient location.
- There is a 7-Elevan on the ground floor.
- The hotel offers daily free "happy hour" (just sweets and non-alcoholic drinks); a very nice touch.
The hotel is close to Sendai Station.
Breakfast was very good, especially the potato salad. There was also Curry available, which also was really tasty.
For using the washing machines and dryers, application at the front is necessary to get a four hour time slot.
Very central, clean and the hotel had a classical music theme. The public bath on the top floor was nice. There were also lovely services available like free drink bar at certain times and getting a Sendai snack as a welcome gift. Evening snacks were available too.
EVERYTHING, this is by far the best stay of mine out of all the hotels that I had during my Japan trip. From room architecture, user experience, facilities, the tv, the amenities, everything is well thought for the well-being of the stay.
A comfortable stay in Sendai. Location was excellent and only a short walk to the train station. The room was very clean and everything was as expected in a business hotel style room. For the price this hotel was a good option.
The hotel is a close walk from Sendai Station. The rooms are clean and the staff is nice. The blackout curtain certainly blocks all light. Alot of lighting options. The staff held my luggage for a few hours after I checked out.
Super friendly staff let us check in a little early! The rooms were clean, nice, modern, comfortable, and the hotel was a very short (~7 min) walk from Sendai station. Would stay again. Great view too!
Location very close to Sendai Station and restaurants. The staff even allowed us to store thd luggage in hotel even after we couldn't find a coin lockers in Sendai station due to public holiday
Clean hotel with friendly staff really close to Sendai station. Good breakfast at the top floor. Starbucks, 7-eleven and craft beer bar right at bottom of hotel. Reasonable price.
